Pigeons are smarter than I thought. I had the same problem of pigeons pooping everywhere in my barn style mechanics shop. Had previously tried a lot of different things, even a drone. Nothing worked. In the end a bb gun solved my problems. Bought a cheap green gas bb gun with plastic bb pellets. The gun is good for up to 40 feet maybe. Spent a few days shooting at them. Most were only stunned, as I was using the plastic bb pellets that came with the gun. After a week they all disappeared. Once in a while a straggler shows up, but I only have to point the gun at them and they immediately panic and fly away.
@Aerlioz Жыл бұрын
That’s very interesting. So you really werent killing them. Just introducing them to immediate pain as a no fly zone. Thats awesome man. I thought for a second you were terminating them. Now im no goody shoes but, when literal feces is everywhere, something must be done. Just suprised you taught an entire poop platoon not to be there. Cheers!!

Quite possible, bud, although neither one of us owns such a chrony. But we all know that our Chinese friends manufacture the same products for different brands and purposes 😉

Thank you, friend, and you're right, there are still many birds we have to deal with. Little by little, early morning hours when possible, before the place is open for business.

there are lots of hundreds of pigeons. what's the meaning of taking them down one by one?

The only thing that works, that's the meaning. Eventually we manage to reduce the numbers to several birds at a time.

I wish my company would hire you. We have at least 50 "sky rat" pigeons at our plant. Pooping all over everything. Yet our company does nothing about it.

I completely understand your frustration. Pretty often owners and managers are afraid someone might call some animal right organization, and those people are very hard to deal with, they refuse to understand and are prone to go to extremes sometimes. Wish I could help you out, mate. Thank you for watching and your comment.

Your sport looks really interresting, but is it as I've heard, very costly?
@AirRifleActivities2 жыл бұрын
It can be, John. High-end PCP airguns are not cheap, and there additional accessories you'd need to fill your gun. Chronograph is essential IMO, then it's a decent scope, ammo, etc.

I'm flattered to have you watching, dear 🙂 Believe me, if you visit one of those places and see for yourself the true extent of the damage those birds cause, you would understand. Walking in their filth, smelling it, seeing it for yourself, you would understand. Talking to a ln educated medical personnel would also contribute - if they explain you the risk of the diseases the winged rats carry.

Are the pigeons destroying property or something? I'm just confused why they'd need to be culled a bit when they seem like a normal city thing lol My hometown put up osprey decoys to scare off seagulls from the downtown area, that might be a better alternative. I'm no pest lover, I'm confused on the culling. And don't really see a need to kill them.
@AirRifleActivities2 жыл бұрын
They poop all over the grain and the entire complex, mate, thus creating a health hazard, plus they carry psittacosis and salmonella. No non-lethal measures work, so they call us.
