I feel disappointed in J.K Rowling considering she has trans fans like this who literally dealt with suicidal thoughts by finding hope in her Harry Potter books. (www.huffpost.com/entry/jk-rowling-transgender-harry-potter-fan_n_5ee17ed4c5b6c727a2a491c5) That really destroyed a lot of my childhood innocence, and all the fun I had listening to podcasts like Harry Potter : The Sacred Texts on what kind of values and lessons in life each chapter had. Her message feels a lot more empty now because of this, but like how a reader has the right to interpret a poem anyway he or she wants, then us as readers have that choice too. The experience of art itself is subjective after all, and how we feel about the art can be completely different from the creator, and that is valid. This is the argument David Radcliffe - Harry Potter’s actor - said. I am not trans, but I am bisexual, and I feel so bad for my fellow queers. It’s tough to change your mind on someone you looked up to growing up.

In Japan it’s a slightly different hurdle - it’s adapting to foreign standards as well as racism. Other than the Ainu and some trade with China, Europe, and eventually Korea and America, they’ve been on their own up until the last century or two so obviously the history’s gonna be different. I guess I just want to believe the best in people but I wish someone would sit Rowling down and explain to her that any man who has the mindset of wanting to rape or harass or abuse a woman would never in a million years crossdress, much less pretend to be a trans woman to gain access to female spaces (which is her whole argument against trans women). These men think, at least subconsciously, that women are inferior or that they have a right to do those things. They'd probably consider impersonating a woman the most humiliating thing in the world. Rowling says her history of abuse is what caused her to have this stance and that she supports trans people in general but only wants to deny them access to single sex spaces. So I hope someone can educate her on how stupid her argument is. Her being an ally, or at the very least not being an asshole, would mean a lot to a lot of kids and adults who've grown up with and found strength with Harry Potter.

"Person" is the word you were looking for, Chris As a person who likes language and tries to understand it, I say... Idgaff about your attempts to be "PC". You failed. Spelling out specific genders when gender doesn't apply, but only spelling out two and then doing some vague hand wave of an acknowledgement to everybody else, just comes off as dismissive. I'll give you the credit of assuming you were just trying to refer to your lack of thought given to things like this, but it doesn't _quite_ sound that way to hear you say it. It sounds like you feel like you're having to do a person a favor by not calling them a gender that they demonstrably aren't (as if they should have to demonstrate their gender to you....). So just stop bringing gender into it in the first place, you dunce XDD "...don't leave it for the next *person*". Jesus, kid..... How tf did you get to be in an oversight position....? There are six biological karyotypes that do not result in death in a human fetus. There are *SIX DEMONSTRABLE GENDERS* just on the basis of chromosomes alone. Just say people/person, you moron. Why tf would you even mention gender in the first place..? I understand in your mind you were spelling out how much you don't care about gender, but why don't you try doing that by NOT BRINGING GENDER INTO A TOPIC TO WHICH IT DOESN'T APPLY xDDDDD whose man's is this....? Who was it who said "led by the weakest among us"...? Of course you're a shift lead. Meanwhile I'm over here at my job getting my stuff done *AND* other people's stuff done, all while managing to know how to use the word "person", and when gender applies to a thought I'm expressing Gosh, how do I do it XDDD

So it’s really weird time, where “sex” means different things in healthcare and in the workplace now.
