Love everything in this trailer from Quality of drawings, art direction, charater acting and dynamic backgrounds / beautiful handrawn backgrounds by bihou in genral which really gives you a sense of the land / cityscape. I think Felix film is responsible for the new amazing looking 3d backgrounds which makes them able to move the camera in way differently and follow the characters through the digital space in a way they couldn’t before with mostly hand drawn backgrounds in season 1 & 2. Couldnt be more hype for this season!

They added side story content for Roswaal last season so I really hope they do it for the Astrea family this season. One, cuz Heinkel sucks but his whole story makes it more nuanced and interesting. Two, I need (forgor name) sword demon taken down a peg a bit since what he did to Reinhardt should be fully addressed. It sucks we see one at their worst and one at their best, and that isn’t as interesting to what’s actually going on.

From what I can tell based on his arc 7 videos Asaratha seems to heavily dislike any moments that don’t involve conflicts or battles. Those always end up being called or having bad pacing or something along those lines by/according to him. That’s at least the impression I got.

Yeah I don’t understand what he meant by that either. I thoroughly loved that volume both times I read it. There’s lots of great character moments throughout and it’s a great way to setup the arc. Especially when you consider how little downtime of peace and quiet the characters will get after this

uh... no. it has nothign to do with no conflicts or battles. one of the arc 7 chapters i enjoyed the most is the campfire chapter. i mean the unwelcome addition to an obnoxious pedophile character, Lilliana who is still extremely controversial, and a big chunk of time being spent making unfunny jokes like about Subaru being a 'lolimancer'. that going on for 4 episodes straight woulda been like pepper spraying the casual audience. ive heard things are improved in the LN, but looking back at Vol 16 WN, it is far less enjoyable than I remembered

Whenever he gets around to uploading the video that corresponds to the first volume of Arc 8, you may be surprised at just how much he has to say about the moments between Subaru and _those two_ characters. You know who they are, but I won't say it in a comment on an anime-only video.
