Bravo for this fabulously detailed review, Tom! I can just imagine how long this took to put together. Surratt’s blushes are perfection, and their Dew Drop concealer is some sort of magical perfection. A new favourite!

That is such a thorough take on the line, bravo! I only started on this brand because my local indy pharmacy stopped selling it and what's left is half off until it's gone. I love their Dew Drop foundation and powder blushes and eye shadows. You've got me lusting after the liquid blushes now, watercolor-like is appealing. Maybe you could do a watercolor face video? Packaging rant - I do not like their packaging at any price. True luxury packaging is fking FUNCTIONAL, even for the differently abled. Magnetic is miles better than sticky tape, as you demostrated & with the surratt it's a PITA to see the name of what you bought later. Complicated, customer hostile packaging isn't clever or cool, it's rude like the moldy laundry smell as you approach that cute guy at the bar. Unnecessarily heavy packaging is 20th century luxury marketing - ostentatious & weighs you down if traveling. For me, makeup is the medium, an art supply, not the art. Well designed packaging is luxury, poorly or over designed packaging is ultimately ridiculous & off putting. I know this seems harsh, but my first thought when I heard about the 2 bronzer release was that it feels like it was cooked up by Ron Desantis. It's insane in 2023 that high end brands can't/won't provide for more skin tones. I do hope they'll show some improvement on these issues, because they have some lovely products that I"m really enjoying.

I was freaking out the other day because I don't have a pink blush, and thought to myself "I wish I had Barbe a Papa or something like it!" An excellent video, as expected. The wheeze laugh on the surreal skin is amazing. I will say that I feel like the dew drop is light coverage BUT def buildable. Even though the packaging is dumb, I love it so much and I came to it from your review. I never liked or understood lighter coverage foundations until dew drop. Would you say there is a finish difference between dew drop and surreal?

I think the surreal skin is much dewier looking on the skin. Not wet but just has much more of that presence than the dew drop

i bought the liquid barbe a papa ages ago and had kinda forgotten about it because i was defaulting to blending it out with that weird, stiff sponge and i didn't like how it would end up looking. Then hannah mentioned applying/blending it with her fingers in her vid, so i fished it out and tried it and now i adore it. I am an idiot, but also, their packaging was like ensorcelling me to be one lol

It's funny you mentioned Charlotte Tilbury's spongetips because she actually has at least 2 variations, with the Contour and Beauty Wand tips working SO much better than the Magic Concealer

Surratt is a brand that stays on my radar, but never quite does enough to make me buy it. They clearly understand nuance. I wish they would apply themselves more. Expand shade ranges. Do away with gimmicky packaging. Just change for me dammit! Why won't you be what I want you to be...😬

Theydee Tom, although I know it's expensive, but I'd love to see you pump these out or swatching as you talk about them and like with the bronzers hold them up together so we can see the product side by side.
