Hay good man,im in JAMAICA and i love archery, however it's not a pass time for anyone.....however i love this review on this bow and do think it's nice for the price, keep safe...and è oh...your glasses was on your shirt neck😀😀..happens everytime...

"just took 5 minutes to put it together". Laughed out loud on my own at this because this is me, buying my first bow, having never done any archery before: I received it, tried to put it together, found it impossible to attach the string, sweated for a whole night, looked on youtube, did the same, stepped across the bow, bent it, string flung back in my face, angrily the half built bow went under the bed. Fast forward to 6 months later, decided "I will build this bow", having ordered a "slip" thing on Amazon, even with it, I found it incredibly had to put the bleedin string so I thought I must have put the bow upside down so to speak, so undid the 2 parts, put them the other way, nope, still not working, went back to position one, nope, not working (did this 7 times), climbed on the bed, fought with it then one HOUR LATER TADADA I had my bow with the string all ready!! It only took 6 months and hours of trying. then I went to the wood, shot arrows, all the arrows went about half a meter above the target, I realised I didn't know what the visor/viser was..? like if you compare it to a gun, you aim in some notch or something, what's the reference on the bow? Nothing. By the way the rest didn't screw all the way in, instructions very poor (doesn't really show where to put it, initially it went in all the holes I could find. Yes), I got rid of it, used the "shoulder and rested my arrows on it. By the way the arrows don't stay on the string, they don't click, they are lose around the string. And the end of the arrow moves left and right on the shoulder so I use my finger to stabilise them. Anyhow once shot, using the arrow itself as my visor/viser, they go flying half a meter (2 feet or more) above the target. I LOST 2 ARROWS today in the woods! So annoyed. I just cannot see them flying nor landing. It is a hard bow to use for a total beginner, either that or archery is a pain generally, or I am also useless. Finally, my arrows when drawn back (hand at the chin) look a bit short in comparison to all archers I watch on YT: my arrow head is just sticking out of the shoulder, is this normal? Please help! :)

It depends on your draw length. I think it would be best to go to an archery shop and have them measure you. Then you'd know which length arrow to use, if you're gonna shoot off the shelf or rest, and teach you how to string your bow. It can be a hassle because I'm a beginner and bought this same bow for shtf, but trust me, you'll want to take the time and see a professional for this important info.

Hi, thanks for the review. I just got mine, but since I live in the mountains of Peru there is no archery shop here to look for and check the fit of a bow quiver, it has to be ordered internationally. Do you know of a quiver that would fit this bow?

I am not an archery pro, but have been shooting (on & off) for many, many years, and I believe you are not drawing the bow back far enough. You should establish an anchor point (usually chin, cheek, side of mouth) that is the same every time. Otherwise, the force applied to the arrow will vary a bit each time, and accuracy will suffer. (Formal target shooters use the tip of their nose as their anchor point; hunters tend to use chin, cheek, etc.) Anyway, looks like a good bow for the price, and 40 lb draw weight is quite sufficient. When one is young, too heavy a bow causes bad habits and limits practice; with age, too heavy a bow can cause rotator cuff issues.

With practice you don't need to hold more than a second, and can shoot fairly quickly in an instinctive manner.

You are not a weakling, you are using muscles that probably have never been used before start out slowly and you’ll get it within a month or so
