To me, this video is kind of surprising. This in the sense that I expected to learn new stuff, but I've been applying all this already ever since I was a teen. I went to school on a daily basis with public transportation which was in the very dense city of Antwerp (Belgium) where there are a lot of sketchy people around. Legally I wasn't able to carry anything, no pocket knife, no pepper spray, no multitool, nothing (yet scumbags on the street did, because they didn't care). So, I had to force myself to come up with ways to be more aware and started applying these tips out of my own. Another thing that I applied, was making sure no-one was at my back, especially near those tracks or even on the bus or tram. Make your six face a wall if possible, so you can't be attacked or stolen from from behind. It's not that hard fellas, just think a bit logically and you'll be ahead of most people out there. To the Americans out there, do everything you can to keep that 2nd amendment of yours and use it to the max in a responsible way, because Europe is going to hell right now.

I damn nearly got robbed at the Atlanta subway, had a bunch of dudes start coming up and surrounding me, all I had was my skateboard and I was ready to deck someone in the face with it. Eventually they walked down the escalators to call more people, and I ran to the other side to the escalators that go upwards and I ran down them and was able to run to the nearby greyhound station where I laid low for a while before calling an Uber.

Headphones with pass through. The galaxy buds FE are under 100 (I got them for 50), they sound really good, they have a widget that can change audio mode, one being pass through. The pass through mode on the buds FE actually cut a lot of the high pitches out of the ambience but still augment your hearing, I can actually hear BETTER with them in.

ahhh good ol Koreatown! I was born, grew up there, took that route many many times to go to school! but 2000s was never this bad! Oh, the memories! Back then we've ALWAYS had sheriffs and LEOs present checking everyone for tickets and fares! They would kick out the homeless if they were sleeping. I am sadden how times have changed and it's kind of scary.

What you are saying is the fact that most people have no idea just how dangerous it really is to travel on any form of public transportation in today's world. I personally will never ever use these public transportation devices ever!!! What I would say if one had to use any form of public transportation is to never go alone and always go with someone with you who might be of some assistance when things go bad. Best advice is to stay the hell away from any form of public transportation, especially here in California.

11:27 Simply getting up and moving would typically be the obvious decision to make. Also be aware that in some instances getting up and moving to a different seat or location, especially while on public transportation may trigger some unruly individuals. I don’t know the exact percentage of time this could happen obviously, but I myself have experienced it twice once because I got up and moved, and once because of my wife, not feeling comfortable standing next to someone that came into a store and they actually snapped at her .

I'd also add that if you're going to use mass transit that you have to keep yourself level-headed because people will do stuff on mass transit that really irritates you but doesn't hurt you and you will gain absolutely nothing by calling out those people on their irritating behavior.

I don't think most regular people feel unsettled at all because most people go through life oblivious to the threats around them. You, on the other hand, feel unsettled because you aware of just how many threats there are around you at all times.

Excellent video. Unfortunately most public transportation systems, particularly subways, have very restrictive laws when it comes to carrying forms of self defense. As stated you must know the laws where you live/work, or where you may be visiting. Please do a detailed on video weapon alternatives that can be used in these types of situations, thanks.

I'll like share my experience, for those of you may know LA, New York, and other cities in other states, etc. I was in the red line going from Vermont to downtown LA, there is tall guy (black person) was chill and then he begin to called me out of nowhere, and said that I'm going to steal his electric scooter which i don't have interest in riding electric scooters. When he come in front of me and talk crap, once I say a word, he tell me to shut up, throwing a kick at me, and body reacts by blocking and deflecting (technically I was scared). In the end, he decide to leave once the train stopped at Pershing square, and two luckily I'm not filmed by someone on their phones. So, I recommend to beware of your surroundings and avoid fights. Every urban areas could be dangerous in general.

There are other alternatives to chokes that still work and don’t get you in hot water, especially if the attacker is on drugs and runs the chance of having a heart attack from the stress. People praise chokes because they “end” the fight, but they can start your crucifixion in court. Joint locks can still work and don’t look deadly to a jury

This dude is sad. He's never actually ridden public transportation. I rode CTA for 20 years. The most common risk is someone snatching your cell phone, purse, or briefcase and running off the train and into the street. If it's late at night and the train is empty, sit in the front car next to the conductor.
@John-zs2eo11 күн бұрын
Are you still riding them? This is TODAY, not Yesterday.
@maximumachievement36111 күн бұрын
You nailed it! I always used the front car next to the conductor. Not only is it the safest, it’s also the most calm and cleanest. If you go towards the middle car or worse, the very back car, you are going to not only run into some shady characters, but also possibly some very aggressive, overly loud, high or drunk individuals with usually not so great hygiene.
@mr.privacy1311 күн бұрын

mmm, you know whats sad? someone who disrespects a former special forces iperator who is imparting excellent knowledge for free so we can be safe from evil people. You know what else is sad? people who are lulled unto a false sense of security and think they will never be targeted because people refuse to wake up to real life that is violent no matter where you live. Ask a cop the most overstated sentence by victims of violence - "i nvere thought it could happen to me" is what the cop will tell you. And its sad bc people refuse to believe they can be a target and put down guys like this one who provides great safe protection tips.
