Crossroads Moment has wonderful songs written for Jimi by the talented artist and songwriter, Jim Peterik. Jimi's voice was still excellent on his 2012 CD, Never Too Late. What a tremendous loss as one of the greatest singers when Jimi passed. Unforgettable rock music...

Frankie Sullivan is without a shadow of a doubt pound-for-pound one of the best rock guitarist ever. An unsung axe legend who deserves to be better remembered for his contribution to rock music. The studio solo Sullivan does on this track is a sublime masterpiece of aggressive playing blended with emotive phrasing, and pitch bending that is pure soul playing. Any young aspiring axe player should listen to everything Frankie has played, just as any true music lover should also:-)..

This song has always moved me. I don’t know why; it just has. When I saw Survivor open for Bryan Adams in 1985, I’d never heard this song before. It made such an impact on me that I sang it in my head for MONTHS before I was actually able to buy a copy of the album. Then the album version left me flat. This version is the EXACT way they played it when I saw them. Long keyboard intro and everything. It’s such a powerful song in a live setting. This is an arena rock masterpiece! This may be my favorite Survivor song. Dave Bickler is a great vocalist but, after hearing the song live, I’ve never been happy listening to his studio version. Jimi Jamison (R.I.P.) OWNS this one!!!
@SurvivorEve2 жыл бұрын
May be we are emotionally charged because of Jamo's death ! But the original.version ,sung by Dave Bickler is the best by far !
@雲粲專業催眠2 жыл бұрын
@@SurvivorEve I think we are moved by the full emotions Jimi always put into the song whenever he sang on a live performance, which made each song alive and so touching. That is something I don't find in every Dave 's singing. And I think Jimi sang alive Caught in the Game, too. Jimi even sang with all his heart in studio, just listen to "Everlasting" and"In Good Faith" and many other his great songs in studio version. Sometimes it's the feeling we felt when we heard a song that moved us, not the singing skills, I guess. At least in my opinion. But I do think Dave is also a great singer, I love his Eye of a Tiger and Ever Since the World Began.

MrDuds1984 I've never forgotten that Jim Peterik is a phenominal guitarist as well! Jim didn't selfishly hand over control of the guitar playing to Frankie, more like Frankie took it, and Jim didn't have the courage to stand up to him. Jim talks about all the drama within Survivor in his book, "Through The Eye Of The Tiger". It's a great read, you should really check it out to get the dirt on things from behind the scenes in the band from Jim Peterik's perspective. I only wish Jimi Jamison had written his memoirs before his tragic, premature death. He's my favorite male vocalist ever, and I love and miss him so much! RIP sweet, beautiful, Jimi! 💔💔
