my favorite lobby animation for survivor is james, simply because he looks 200% done with everything, which is how i feel as a solo queue survivor

same, I love the lobby animation for James (i'm a james main myself) and i love the animation he does where he steps forward looking as intimidating as he possibly can before rubbing his head and stepping back. He's so done with absolutely everything, from one hell to another,

Ace actually blinks towards the other survivors if you have a consmetic without his glasses which I think fits him extremely well. Plus Carlos actually grabs his combat gear and adjusts it a bit. But nothing too special

James animation where he looks up and sighs is actually a reference to the very start of Silent Hill 2 where he does that while he questions his sanity and reality.

Interesting one about Laurie that I don't know for sure is intended. But when you're in a pre-game lobby as a killer, when Laurie looks off the side, it looks like she is looking directly at, or in the general direction of the killer. As they are watching the survivors at the campfire from a distance. I liked to think that this was a nod to Laurie's awareness that she's adopted after her encounters with Michael Meyers. Paranoid of the Boogeyman, she is vigilant and maybe notices the killer off in the distance before the game even starts. But like I said. Just a little thought I had and wanted to share. Don't know if it's intentional.

A funny thing ash does if you wait around 10-15 minutes he will start bugging you about not starting.

So I had read something about this but could never get it to trigger, but I didn't realize it was 10-15 minutes so I probably didn't wait long enough. That would easily move him up a tier for me 😂Thanks for letting me know!

James and Haddie definitely have the most interesting ones. I feel like Jill and Leon and Ada do almost nothing since they also have voice lines that interact with each other. For example, Leon says “you’re stuck with me to the end” when there’s an Ada in the lobby, which is what he actually says to her in the RE2 remake when she warns him they might not live through Umbrella’s lab.

I knew they had voice lines but I actually didn't know they played off each other. Those were added with Project X too, which means that Jill and Leon were just boring before in the lobby

Campfire (Menü) animations next? The best are there anyway, Steve, Jonah, Leon, Vittorio and Zarina (it's funny when you have Jonah and Leon at the campfire at the same time, because they both get up at the same time). Btw Steves Lobbyanimation, is featured in every stranger things seasons so far. We call it: Steve the hand on his hips Harrington

Lisa is probably my favorite, she’s stilted and motionless because every second of Silent Hills runtime she is trying desperately not to lose control, her eyes are buggy and her smile twitches because she is afraid that if she lets herself show how afraid she is, She’ll truly be afraid, every cutscene she’s in she acts very on edge, but it’s always in this twitchy panicked way, except for the cutscene you meet her in where she crawls out from a desk and instantly hugs you, she sure isn’t moving, but it’s not because Bhavior got lazy like Jill and Leon’s, it’s because that’s what she would do.

One thing I find cool about Cybil, is that if she's holding an item, she actually holds her belt with her left hand which is something that I'm pretty sure is unique to her.

Before Quintens face rework his look around animation bad move eye movements so it was more of him scowling at other survivors, it looked really funny when in a lobby. Sucks that his new model doesn’t move his eyes as much for some reason

I actually did not notice this! Thanks for pointing it out. I suppose some of them wouldn't work with items, but I feel like there could be an easy way around this beyond just cancelling all of them.

So one thing to note is i think the "campfire main menu" animations are far more animated and fitting for the characters personalities. If you are the main screen before you pick killer or survivor some of them are significantly way more animated. Like Quentin will start to doze off and fall asleep but he wakes himself up because of Freddy.

For those who are curious and are unable to see Johnathan's animations. The one remarkable thing he does besides stand and look around (in a stance similar to Nancy or Cheryl) is hit the griddy like a champion. Jk he really doesn't do anything more than Steve if I remember correctly

im not 100% certain but I believe what haddie pulls out is a lavalier microphone and a field recorder. Both of these are dredge addons that mention haddie and seem to match what she pulls out.

They could do so much more with the original survivors! Dwight looks good but they could have Meg run in place or do some stretches, Claudette pulling out some healing item or plant, Jake could be bending down to tend to a campfire maybe, Nea, since she a cat person, a random cat could run by and around her legs causing her to do a little spin while trying to look at the cat and where it just came from? Idk, the devs could do so much more with each of them a their personality’s.

All of these are great ideas! I'm sure the Devs would love to do that but are limited by time and the tyranny of the urgent. But this would help to bring out all their personalities for sure. I'd love to see them start adding this in like they are doing with the OG Killer's chase music.
