Suspect dies after being pursued by man he robbed at gunpoint in Los Angeles

A suspect who robbed another man at a gas station was killed in a crash after the victim pursued him. Initial reports that were later confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department indicate that a 21-year-old man was at a gas station in L.A.'s West Adams neighborhood on Saturday evening when a group of armed men approached him and robbed him. The suspects then fled the scene in a white sedan, and the victim gave chase in a Mercedes-Benz SUV. (June 30, 2024)

Its not just California law. This is across the whole country. The original victim rammed their car into the suspects car causing them to crash. Prior to this, the original had "no reasonable fear" to ram their car into the suspects car. If the original suspects shot at the original victim's car then the ramming happened, then it would be justified as self-defense. At the end of the day, the original victim will be charged. Basically, you can't ram your car into a thief's car when the act of stealing has passed. If the original rammed his car into the thief while the thief was stealing, then its different.
