Hello, I'm Suzanne Allard, and online art teacher and painter of colorful florals and abstracts and an encouraging creativity teacher. I'm on a mission to prove that we ALL have a creative spirit that wants to express itself in one way, shape or form. Of course, there are many ways to create but if you are here that means that painting or color or texture (or all the above) are calling to you. I didn't start painting until around 50 years old and I learned pretty much everything in online painting courses.
Inspiration and Artwork: I have an email newsletter, online classes, links to my favorite supplies and free desktop and smartphone wallpaper Free your creative spirit!! Welcome to the Joyful Art School! all at www.suzanneall...! There are originals, prints, cards, and digital downloads for sale there as well.
My email newsletter is packed with inspiration, new work, and tips, it's called "Your Creative Adventure." You can sign up here: www.suzanneall...

Student Testimonial from Sonalee: "Suzanne is an engaging and encouraging instructor. At every step, I felt championed to try something new and to see where it takes me. She helped me approach this class as a learning opportunity while enjoying the process. Anytime I had a question, Suzanne provided prompt and helpful advice. This class is recommended for artists at all levels. I learned a lot about the materials needed, which Suzanne kept simple and accessible. I am looking forward to taking other classes by Suzanne Allard, and would recommend her classes to anyone who enjoys the process of creating colorful art!"

Learnt so much. The simplicity of using two colours and seeing the process of all the lovely colours being created. I liked that you didn't speed up the video so I could get a better sense of your layering process, I've been stuck on how to follow that through. I enjoyed you sharing about various paint brushes too, it has given me insight that I should experiment more with them. I'm definitely going to give this exercise a try. Thank you and keep posting 😀

I enjoyed watching you play and found the color palette to be so interesting using just the two colors and the gesso. Susan, do you make notes of your play and work sessions when you've discovered something so that you will remember down the line? Or is it more intuitive than that?
@SuzanneAllardDesign
@SuzanneAllardDesign 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Robyn! I sometimes would like to be the person that takes notes but I’ve accepted that I’m just not lol. I’m hoping the “notes” are integrating naturally into my intuitive process. I think they do much of the time. Great question btw!

Thank you but I wish y’all would realize how much we newbies need to know or maybe just want to know what substrate you are using. It would really help. It may not mean much to you but we really feel we need to know!

Thanks Karen, that's a really good point! I do of course cover all those details in my paid classes. Since these are free videos that I take the time to create, I am much more casual in them and just inviting you to join me in painting. I will try to say more though.
