Awesome man! Yep, in my opinion there isn't much better dual sport on the market. An iconic machine. Keep it full of oil and make sure it doesn't get notchy shifting and hard to find neutral. If it does, I have a video how to fix it. The big tank and seat concepts seat really got mine long range capable now. Thanks for stopping by man!

Just picked up a '94 this weekend with 7800 miles. Seems to be in good running shape and pretty solid cosmetic condition. Got it home and cleaned it up; couldn't resist a quick ride to my buddy's house and, man, these bikes just ride smooth and look like old school cool.

Hello from Michigan. I have my 97 dr350 I absolutely love it and I had it for about 7 years. I can definitely attest to the low maintenance. Something I'm going to work on pretty soon is your solution for the seat I'm not sure the ground was built little far away from me where I'm at lol but it just hurts my behind after a while of riding and I could really use some cushion
@PSBEadventures Жыл бұрын
Thanks for stopping by and 🤣 on the ground too far away. Since this video I've done a seat concepts Low, comfort seat and it helped tremendously. I used to have to get off every 30 to 40mi. I can go around 100 or more now. Worth every penny!

Im thinking about getting a electric starter version as a first dualsport/allroad (i have 8 years of road bike experience). But i also like to travel onroad alot, do you think its a good bike for al of that? Im also looking at the Honda transalp 600 but i think it maybe is to heavy (?)
@PSBEadventures Жыл бұрын
With the stock gearing and the 6 speed, it will run 80 mph easy and cruise 70 just fine. I guess there is no perfect bike for everything, but this one comes really close. A seat concepts seat will definitely be a must and maybe some larger pegs. It's not gonna be a Cadillac on the road, it's still a dirtbike, but I've done 1000 road miles in a few days ride before and didn't hate it. Since we ride a ton of technical stuff, mine is geared down a tooth in the front and it's revved up pretty good on the highway, but it still.gets it done. For me and the trails I ride, anything much heavier just won't work.
@fernetbranca97 ай бұрын
Im considering getting on of these but here in Argentina I can get one from '93 and 28k kms in pretty good shape at 4500 usd (all bikes are absurdly expensive here nowadays).. would be my main bike, mainly for weekends only. Is it worth it? I bought my first bike (a nice little 200cc) a year ago.
@PSBEadventures7 ай бұрын
Man, that's crazy they are so high. 2500-3500 USD for a nice one usually here in the states. It's definitely a great bike.
@CleanCutLawnsK23 жыл бұрын
Great video. Question: Will it do alright with stock gearing on the highway for an hour or two at a time? A feller close to me has a '99 model DR350SE for sale and I've been thinking about it, but I need something that can handle considerable time at 65mph or so to get anywhere to ride trails. Been looking at DR650's as well, but I like the idea of the lighter bikes, cuz it ain't IF ya drop it, it's WHEN, and I ain't the biggest feller at 5'9" and 170.
@PSBEadventures3 жыл бұрын
We are about the exact same size and height! Lowering the bike down with the shock preload and the low seat concepts seat made all the difference in the world for me and stability. But absolutely, with the stock gearing this bike will run 90mph and 65-70 all day. I've dropped the front down for trail riding but it's still only about 500 more rpm at 65. I think if I did super long distance I may put the stock front on and maybe 2 or 3 tooth more on the back to split the difference. It's rideable in the woods with stock gearing but a bit tall if it gets tight . The 6 speed makes it really nice as well. Snatch it up if the price is right. It's truly and Iconic machine. The 650 is as well, and I've ridden my buddys as well, as can be seen on the videos, it's definitely heavier but unable weight and balance Either one is a great choice. If I was gonna buy a brand new 650, it would be the DR. Thanks for watching!!

Yessir I rebuilt the carb and put a new fuel peacock in it and I just can't get it to run
@PSBEadventures Жыл бұрын
@Joshua Odom okay, just making sure the pilot and main are clean, and the air screw on the bottom of the carb is at least two turns out or so. Decompression lever down, slowly move the kick lever down until the Decompression lever pops up, let the kick lever come back up and kick hard, and I mean hard. If it's cold, have the choke pulled all the way out. Repeat a few times. If nothing Maybe check spark, make sure it's firing really hot and bright blue. They definitely can be tricky to start. You can hold the Decompression lever down, hold the throttle wide open and kick 10 or 12 times and then try again. Sometimes that helps clear it out.
