I bought a GS750E brand-new in 1977 for [US] $1995. Gorgeous bike. This one here has the airbox removed, so it doesn't sound like the stock motor anymore.

Again, you shouldn´t rev the engine ove 4000 rpm in void.

You should not do it constantl,but once in a while is no problem as long as the engine isn't cold.
