I had a 07 same Color scheme, I took all the logos off, had a Arrow exhaust, Power commander & intake, it was a Screamer, i put 48,000+ miles on it, many road trips form California to Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Zion Utah, it was absolutely Bullet Proof.

Nope you're just putting your responsibility of riding into other people's hands if you ride properly you won't need loud exhaust pipes just an excuse to ride crazy

A common quote spoken by people who have trouble breathing and thinking simultaneously. With the amount of times its been debunked, its clearly no longer a case of people not knowing its false, its more so a case of people being egotistical and trying to justify their loud bikes.

Gixxer 600 - the most comfortable IMO of the class. They used to be the fleet bikes at Phillip Island but now they have a fleet of BMW S1Krr. Nice Arai too!

Awesome bike.. I'm getting my Yamaha yzf r125.. This year, although some people knock it it has got a lot to offer and is a great starter bike.. we all got to start off somewhere. one thing is obvious and that is there's a bit of a love affair between you and the bike which I think is awesome, I can only hope that I find my future big power bike just as awsome as you- is there any advice you can give me towards bike care and or typical problems I should watch out for?

one of the biggest problem you should watch for is not to start hating on other motorcycle brands, that's all... and that bike is an awesome teacher

Jason Waple why u gonna buy a bike just 125cc, 125cc is super boring, especially when you see someone has bike that more powerful than your. I have ridden alot of bikes before, my recommendation is 300cc to 600cc.
@MrJABA19809 жыл бұрын
+Quy An Bui nothing wrong with starting on a 125cc, I admire anyone who does, I did and it helps you learn a lot more, plus it might be all he is allowed on his licence. Should accept peoples choices.

Loud exhausts do not save lives. The majority of exhaust volume comes from the BACK, not the front, so what you see as a benefit is actually just an annoyance to everyone else, because they hear almost all of the sounds AFTER you already passed them. Yet this myth that loud exhausts are "safer" persists, and it is almost always nonsense. What saves your life, is riding sensibly and not taking undue risks, and riding defensively, particularly at junctions/intersections and not assuming everyone else will give way. Ride safe, ride carefully and never rely on an exhaust sound to protect you.

is 600cc considered supersport?
@TheIceBoy1224 жыл бұрын
kjetiloo yes as it’s in reference to the race classes, supersport = 600cc, superbike = 1000cc

I miss my 06 gsxr 600 black and red. I also noticed mine would feel very hot at times, perhaps I had a similar problem but i never needed it serviced. Oh I miss riding in south Florida on south beach and then going on those beautiful flat Florida highways. The only thing I thought the gixxer didn't have was low end torque. But I miss the bike it was so comfortable and so great to look at. I know what you mean about the gear change light..safe riding

I've been riding bikes all my life and it scares me how quickly young riders progress to bikes that are too powerful for their experience and ability. I know it's hypocritical and I sympathise but don't like it at all!

Todays motorcycles are easier to ride, you can adjust the power delivery on the gixer and it has abs

"Loud pipes saves lives" assumes a driver doesn't make you responsible for avoiding a colision... I think people get a false sense of security from being visible/audible... even if cagers know you're there, that doesn't mean they respect that.
@kf85754 жыл бұрын
Cagers very VERY rarely respect anybody other than themselves on the road. Even somebody else in a car. Riding a motorcycle you're fair "game" for them. Blocking you filtering through traffic (which for anybody replying is PEFRECTLY LEGAL here in the UK), swerving towards you when overtaking on dual carriageway or motorway, then you see them in your mirror laughing when you pass them, pull put at the last second on roundabouts and from sideroads.... its as if they find it funny. Although the average doesnt find it so funny when you remove their wing mirror
