Sasori was the most "human" of the Akatsuki despite being in a puppet body. His fight with Chiyo and Sakura made him realise he wanted to die in his parent's arms and allowed Chiyo to kill him with his mother and father puppets. We see this again in the war arc - he isn't defeated because someone seals him, but because Kankuro restored his faith in the art of puppet masters and passed on his mother and father puppets to him. He is just a sad boi who used puppets and being evil as a way to fill his parentless void and it is kinda sad when you think about it.

It was essentially Naruto, the Toad Sage elders, and 3 more giant Toad fighting against Pain. I wouldn't count Hinata because all she did was to make Pain feel a little bit inconvenient 4. I think people tend to really underestimate just how heavily things were against Sasori in his fight with Chiyo and Sakura. Like honestly, Chiyo was his teacher and grandmother. So she clearly had deep knowledge regarding Sasori. Not to mention Sakura had a perfect counter to Sasori's poison. Even then, Sasori allowed himself to die in the end. If not, he would have beat them both. Edit: It can honestly be compared to how a lot of other Akatsuki members died due to their opponents' having prep time or pre-battle knowledge.

Sasori is definitely is the most underated akasuki ever. I hate how they killed him off when so fast in Shippuden. And he didn’t get defeated by Sakura and chogiro. Sasori defeated sasori. He let himself get killed. Because he saw the attack that led to his death. The granny said it herself. Sasori definitely has feelings as well. The reason he doesn’t like keeping people waiting is because his parents took so long to come back and he found out his parents died. That’s why he hates waiting or keeping people waiting. If a fight between Sasori and Deidara went down, I don’t think Sasori’s puppets are going to be able to get to Deidara with all those explosions going around. Also, though Sakura had poison to heal Sasori’s poison and was carried in her fight by Chiyo- he still was getting pressed. The Sasuke that fought Deidara was way more impressive than the team of Sakura and Lady Chiyo too.

Konan was not a member, she was a FOUNDER. Konan fought tobi, and ALMOST got him (izanagi is just cheat). Konan was not a trophy wife sitting around, she was the angel of hidden rain, also eyes and ears, and also respected/feared for her prowess. She was able to hold of the ENTIRE Aburame clan solo, while not even trying, AND hunting for Naruto. Shame people box her in with sakura just because she wasn't the dump "i wanna kill type". I'm not even a fanboy, but she deserved more respect as one of the few who actually knew about 'eye of the moon plan'. Ps: her battle with Toby was legit AWESOME!!!

Sasori I think is way too underrated. He only lost because he went up against an equally strong puppet master and an antidote-carrying Sakura. He would be a tough match for anybody because his poison weapons/gas would be hard to dodge and his body is mechanical so it's likely he could resist itachi's genjutsu. In many ways he's immortal like Hidan but capable of switching bodies even.

If he did research into his abilities, and also researched Sasuke's abilities, he would probably not go for the fight, and let another Akatsuki take it who prob wouldve killed Sasuke. After all, Deidara's one weakness is Lightning Style. Even with Sasuke perfect countering him, he still almost beat him. Like C4 (particle bombs) wouldn't kill Kakuzu or Sasori, Kakuzu essentially has 4 lives, he has to be killed 4 different times, that's how he tanked the tailed beast bomb, and Sasori has a puppet body so... I would still rank Deidara above Kakuzu at least since that would be like a Gaara fight. as for Sasori, it can really go either way, all of their abilities pretty much cancel each other out, or are simply equal to each other.

I think that, based on what we've seen of Konan, she was definitely a more Supportive/Defensive fighter. She was amazing at gaining intel, remember that she was with Yahiko and Nagato when they first started their organization that overthrew Hanzo(Who started a war with the Hidden Leaf and thought he'd win). She disguised herself as Hanzo and no one could tell he was dead until Jiraiya went there himself to find out. She was Nagato's personal Body Guard which says a lot in my opinion considering the type of people that would be after him. She has probably one of the most versatile single jutsu in the series, hardened paper is equal to metal, she can prevent herself from burning despite being made of paper, she can change the color and shape of it at a whim and seemingly has a near infinite amount of it while also never running out of chakra either. I think that in terms of intelligence, such as Deducing that Tobi had a 5 limit timer on his Intangibility and her versatile moveset along with her constantly cold and calculating head. I could definitely see Deidara loosing to her, he might have big explosion, but she's got a lot more than that available to her with what Dance of The Shikigami can do.

Give Sasuke credits that he deserves for that fight. I mean yeah if Sasuke wasn't lightning type or Deidara wasn't earth type, things might have been different. But it is not, that are their chakra types from the beginning. Sasuke outsmarted Deidara twice and didn't even need to use Kirin(his strongest jutsu at that time). So I wouldn't say it is plot. It was a bad match for Deidara but Sasuke won fair and square.
