And if you're a member of generation Y the fact that Jennifer Connelly, literally the most beautiful woman in the world at the time, is singing it makes it an inescapable part of your psyche. We ALL at least saw the Dark City trailer. I love the movie but I know a lot of us didn't see it. But we all at least got a few seconds of this and it just cemented the love we already had for Jennifer Connelly from Labyrinth and The Rocketeer. This is just like my childhood playing before my eyes. It's crazy.

Still bothers me that they didnt actually use her voice in the Original release. Her voice fits so much better to the atmosphere. Feels alot more dark, undertoned, Much more "Noir". Too bad there wasnt enough footage for just the actual "Sway" scene. Thats why her dress keeps changing colours. Its a little lazy in my opinion, but hey. Atleast her singing sounds still phenomenal

Seraphical this is such an old comment so idk if you’ll see this, but no there isn’t for soundtracks. However, download the app SoundCloud (which is free, try it!) and you can use that app like you’d use Spotify. It’s mainly used for people to post their covers of songs but someone uploaded this version on there and it’s how I listen to it without going to KZbin. Hope it helps!

why are movies so shitty these days. Back in the 90's this movie wasn't even considered good (even though it was). I swear if this movie came out in 2018 it would have been movie of the year. Have CGI special effects ruined movies, or has everything gotten worse somehow?

Now cgi is mainstream, and cheap cgi effects are everywhere, consumers accept onviously faje cgi, as long as they are entertained. It is, indeed, the director's cut version. Wich is much, much better than the other. Not only because the actual voice of Jennifer Connelly is used for the songs. But the whole movie is way better. Glad I discovered the director's cut version first.

This song presents a fundamental problem with the story plot that if people are moved from one profession to another, it would prove problematic for someone with no singing ability to be able to become a professional singer. Jennifer can pull it off but plenty of people wouldn't be able to.
