Brian is one of the best melodic guitarists rock has ever seen. While his physical dexterity is outstanding, his musicianship is mind-blowing. Freddie is Freddie, there will never be another singer like him. Although they weren't in this clip, Queen would not have been rock royalty without Roger and John. Each of the four was a superb musician, and the band was even better than the sum of their talents.

They lived together for a while and were engaged until she broke it off, telling him she wanted him to be happy even if it wasn't with her. She knew he was Gay long before he would admit it. I ran out and bought that album and so many of their other albums, playing them over and over and over, and realizing how blessed I was to be living through one of the greatest ages of music ever. I enjoyed and was awed by the music as it happened, and realized the world would be listening to it for 50 years into the future and beyond. The most insane thing to me is that Freddie had no formal vocal training. Please check out The Show Must Go On. Freddie was so ill Brian didn’t think he’d be able to sing it yet Freddie knocked back a vodka and nailed it. It has some of the hardest vocals of all their tracks. Also, Barcelona where he duets with Monserrat Cabellé , a famous opera singer. I can’t think of anyone but Freddie who could hold their own on stage with an opera singer like he did. Brian May and Roger Taylor are also really good singers- says a lot when the guitarist and drummer can also sing really well, not many bands like that about!

I just absolutely love this live performance. The 7/12/1986 Wembley concert was fantastic. You should react to the entire concert from the beginning. The way they structured the concert was impressive. They spent a lot of time in strategically playing certain songs at a certain time. The concert just had such a perfect flow. A couple of people did the entire concert in 8 it 9 parts in order without any problems of getting blocked. Queen sold out so fast they had 2 nights in a row at Wembley. The Saturday, 7/12 was the one that had 15 cameras for the DVD. It’s the best of the 2, IMO. The stage was huge. If you thought Freddie ran around at Live Aid, wait until you see this!!! It’s also the first time Freddie had the new “wireless” microphone! The opening of the concert was amazing. Hope you are able to do this. Back to this song. It’s just beautiful and slow songs really showcase Freddie’s incredible voice. He only needed Brian on guitar and 80,000 fans. No one has ever controlled an audience like Freddie. Including the fans in the show was a priority with Queen way back in the 70’s. No other group ever cared to do that. They were first in so many areas. I will never tire hearing that God given voice with a vibrato like no other!

Have you ever heard ‘Barcelona’ Freddie with the Italian opera singer Montserrat Caballe - if not give it a try or maybe some of Freddie’s Japanese stuff, he had a real love for that. I’m so happy and rather jealous that you have come into the fold of people who love Freddie, jealous because I remember having that ‘first time’ feeling from so long ago, it makes me feel young again. I used to live near Freddie and we attended the same college (some years later) I love that I may have sat in chairs , walked the same corridors that he did and even be taught by some of his lecturers, but most of all I love that I have heard his music for over 45 years and loved it all. My husband, who is much younger than I, is a huge Queen, particularly Freddie fan in the truest sense of the word and we certainly bonded over his love of this fantastic group of men who got together to make magic. By the way in the reaction video to you hearing Bohemian Rhapsody for the first time, you asked who was the falsetto I’m the harmonies - that was the drummer Roger Taylor - when they were recording the harmonies Freddie kept going to the box and saying to Roger ‘one more time, only higher’ which he did until frankly he may have needed surgery on some part of his anatomy to be able to sing any higher if you get my drift? Hahaha. I hope you continue on your trail of discovery with Queen they have a lifetime of work for you to discover and in my heart I can truly say there is very little you won’t enjoy and most of all have fun with it like Freddie did. Happy trails my friend.

I love your reactions here! And you’re one of the only people who did a reaction video that highlighted that high note Freddie hits before he says “I still love you” to the crowd. That was a songbird type of high note with his vibrato and it was the best thing I’ve ever witnessed. This is probably my favorite version of Queen’s live performance for “Love Of My Life” but the version of this song from “Rock In Rio” from 1985 was right up there with this version from Wembley except the crowd in Rio sings a lot more of the song than Freddie does. Also, I can’t wait for your reaction videos for all of Freddie Mercury’s solo music videos from his 1985 “Mr. Bad Guy” album. Queen has a lot more to react to as well, you should react to “The Invisible Man”, “Too Much Love Will Kill You”, “These Are The Days Of Our Lives”(Queen’s final music video with Freddie before he died in 1991), and “Mother Love”(the last track Queen recorded in studio before Freddie’s death). There’s so much depth in Queen’s music catalog.
