Gee I havent seen a workout w these distance intervals since 1982. I am not an Olympian It was a very rainy day Ran 2 X (mile, 1320, 1100yds, 880yd) 1. 4:23.6/3:15/2:41/2:09 2. 4:28/3:18/2:46/2:08 It was my first track workout. Rainy n windy No one to push but me No coach Graduated UP pilot 1976 Was always curious what times this workout would ve indicative of....but not many races for post college in those days

I’m confused on why the coach seemed so rigged/ looked like he was trying to hide something but I mean it’s just speed work there’s nothing really special or in-depth about it. Great footage as always. Love the content.

This is an absolutely lovely track! Compare these conditions with those in which most of the elite Kenian runners are training... Nevertheless, it is not the track conditions that only matters... In any case, this workout is quite excruciating... I was doing something like this, albeit at a slower pace, when in the athletics school in the former Soviet Union, I know what I am talking about... Many thanks for the video, well done!

That's a good track to train on because most tracks in the US give you constant shade from the direct sunlight.

400m is a lot of rest. When I did this in high school, I would take 90 seconds off in between reps and a 400m slow jog between sets
