OMG. I haven't discovered a bread since I've gone gluten free and this would be a quick way to get a tasty sandwich-ish slice. I can taste even a chunky PBnJ on this. Even a banana wrap. Yes and a savory sandwich/wrap too. I love the light sweet potatoes so might try. Thanks for the great recipe and for the inspiration. Flexible....so great.

Oh my gosh! These look amazing...at the end when you were demonstrating how flexible they are, my first thought was having them as a breakfast option rolled up with a banana in the middle, or berries & maple syrup drizzled or/& coconut yogurt!!!! The options are endless. Thank you Natalie so much. I make “normal” sweet potato flatbread to pair with curries, dahl’s or chilli dishes, but this will be a great change 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

You don't even know how happy it makes me that you jumped to a sweet burrito situation for them first🤗 We clearly see eye to eye on tortilla usage ha! I LOVE the sound of both of those brekkie ideas😋😋 Can't wait for you to try them, Tracey!

Feasting on Fruit oh I’m definitely a sweet gal before savoury lol it’s because I was raised on a sugar cane farm & even though I try H A R D it’s difficult taking the savoury route every time 😩😂😃 & breakfast has always been the sweet choice for me! This will be a great alternative to my smoothies, oatmeal or homemade granola. Thank you again so much 🙌🏻🙌🏻

You do a great job with this recipe! Am concerned about the baking powder to just use once in a while since it has something I can't have but don't remember right now. It really looks good!!! Thanks!!!!

Baking powder does contain cornstarch, maybe that's it? If so you can sub baking soda instead, but decrease the amount to 1/2 tsp :)

Thank you for your response. You are so right, now I remember, the corn which that I can't have do to an autoimmune condition. I will go with your advice. I want to make this since it will make a difference in my diet since can't have bread at all and this is such a great idea. Thanks again!!!

Hi! I made your regular potato ones and they were awesome!! Was wondering if using pumpkin puree with pumpkin spices would work.....
@FeastingonFruit7 жыл бұрын
I'm so happy you liked those! Pumpkin isn't as starchy/sticky as potato so it won't bind as well. You could try it, but the dough will likely be harder to work with and the flatbread more fragile. Sorry!

Didn't think of that..... Oh well, it was just a thought! Anyway, Love your channel!

You have a new subscriber I love this will try it soon. If i dont have coconut sugar, can I use brown sugar? Another thing have you made this with coconut flour or made coconut flour wraps? Will want to try it with this. Also I just followed you on ig as well. Keep coming with those recipes.
@FeastingonFruit4 жыл бұрын
Yes brown sugar will work here! But coconut flour will definitely not, its way too dry and crumbly for making something like a wrap without eggs to help bind. Hope you try this one though, and thanks for subbing!

@FeastingonFruit9 жыл бұрын
+Fran Vegan (Terríc0la) I haven't tried it so it's hard to say for sure. The tapioca is really really good for binding so it's pretty important. Maybe cornstarch would work, that would be my best guess.

When you added the baking powder you made sweet potato pancakes instead of flatbread. Still good but pancakes nevertheless LOL put some organic maple syrup and yummy. Wonder how many carbs are in your pancakes? It isn't flat bread unless it's flat. Like tortillas. Leave out the water and the baking soda or baking powder and you'll have it.
@Jesus.Bridged.The__Gap6 жыл бұрын
Barbara Mowrey ...If you put it side by side, in comparison, this is much flatter than an actual pancake. I have seen sweet potatoe pancake videos and they are clearly thicker, and look browned like a pancake.
@HealthyistheNewSexy6 жыл бұрын
There are lots of cultures who make flat breads that are not as thin as tortillas. Roti, naan, to name just a few. So technically, she can call it flatbread ;)

You can try using cornstarch instead, but I cannot guarantee it will turn out same. Tapioca flour is very unique and important here. It can also be called cassava flour if that helps!

I have had the same problem here, but the other day I made a discovery... We have had a product "always" called "sago grains", but now I just noticed the bags saying something like "Note: New Ingredient". I flipped the bag over and it said that traditionally, the product came from the Sago palm (think it is a type of yucca palm), but lately it has not been imported as much, making sago hard to get (rain forest, maybe?), so they have started making it from tapioca and potato starch, this specific one being made from tapioca. So with recent YT recipies in mind, I bought a bag. I have not tried it yet, but I'm thinking that I will put it in a blender and blend it into a fine flour, since it now contains "grains" or small pearls made from tapioca... In case you have sago products in your grocery store also, maybe it is worth a try for you too to check what it is made from?
