So you definitely gave me a craving for home fries lol. I don’t have an air fryer or an instapot but I made some delicious red potato fries tonight to satisfy the craving.

I have made them in the oven before too! I put them on 425 for about 20-25 minutes! Glad you satisfied the craving hahah :)

This is the first air fryer I have ever owned. It works well kzbin.infoUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB and, if you use the proper supplied silicone tray, keeps the food separate from the oil\grease of cooking. I cooked pizza, hamburger, lasagna, etc all with good results. (I also purchased some paper inserts to cover the silicone trays, just not to have to clean the trays.) Recommended. Just make sure to REMOVE the PAPER INSERT below the air fryer tray before using the air fryer! And yes, I have experienced a bit of an "electrical"-type smell after cooking items. It seems to have gotten less with time and did surprise my nose the first time I smelled it.

I’m looking to buy one but gone through reviews that the air fryer is not that good and doesn’t make crisp fries, could you pls share your feedback.

I still use my instant pot all the time. There are different ways to make them crispy but I wouldn’t say they turn out super crispy. I still think it taste good tho

I am a little late here, but there is one additional metal plate that you can put in the air frying basket. It's meant to be used for separation of 2 different foods, but i think it can also be used to bring the potatoes (in this case) closer to the lid. This might help them to get crispier. Or am i wrong?

Another thing with air fryers is you don’t have to repeat you just adjust the time. I’ve got an air fryer here at the house called the power XL and I’ve got a cooking chart in the cooking chart includes preheat times with the food that’s a good thing about air fryers, because when you Preheat an air fryer with such a small cooking, space, you tend to overcook the food a lot come in your overcook chicken or anything you put in it the smartest thing to do is just send it to whatever time that your chart says and have a food thermometer get it perfect every time again a small space will overcook your food quick because it’s practically a convection oven and when you’ve got like that little pot, you’re going to overcook your food 99% of the time air fryers are made not to preheat, and it literally tells you that in instructions that’s why you got to read them

Like potatoes, wedges, or fries it would be at 3:60 for 18 to 22 minutes. No preheat.

I’m cutting him is just get one of those tools that you put the potato in and push down on it and it cuts it in the fries you get those on Amazon for dirt cheap
