My Mom taught me to choose the round/short sweat potatoes. These have less strings in the potato. I surely will make this cake.

I made this yesterday morning. I made buttermilk from scratch and it turned out delicious. The glaze makes it! It tastes even better today! Definitely a keeper! Can’t wait for my family to enjoy it.

Looks amazing!! So if just want it for a regular pound cake just add less flour? What did you put at the bottom with the pecans?

This recipe cannot be substituted for a regular pound cake recipe. Reason being is that this particular cake gets the majority of it's moisture from the sweet potatoes and Buttermilk. For a regular pound cake you would need to add more butter, eggs and possibly sugar. I have other pound cake recipes on this channel. Hope this helps

1 whole bundt cake + 2 small loaf cakes = 5 cups of flour. Most bundt cakes only need 3 cups of flour.

With making a whole cake and two small ones with 5 cups of flour only 2 sticks of butter were used? When in a whole cake it's either 2, 3 or 4 sticks of butter with 3 cups of flour
