💎GET RECIPES HERE | bit.ly/GDSeasoning Let me make something clear, Sweet Potatoes and "yams" are all a part of the sweet potato FAMILY. There are dozens of varieties that exist. It just depends on WHERE YOU LIVE, THE COUNTRY YOU'RE FROM AND WHAT THE CULTURE CALLS THEM. That's why I said use "sweet potatoes" or "yams" whatever you can get your hands on because most will work, even if the color is lighter. The ones used in this video are called "Garnet Yams" and they're readily available at all of my local grocery stores and they have a reasonable amount of sweetness. In Black culture, (1) We use what we have and (2) We say "Sweet Potato Pound Cake" and "Sweet Potato Pie" even if we did use "yams", as we may know it, because it rolls off of the tongue easier than "Yam Pie". No need to stress over an ingredient that we are all familiar with in one way, shape, or form.

Here's the reason why she's so good at teaching, Rozzie R: she's designated spiritually to teach this thing and teach it well. This is why she flows very well without any uncomfortable, awkward stopping, etc. Her spirit to teach is at a 7.8 out of 10. She's not meant to be on TV, though. That would put pressure on her she's not meant to withstand. For me, I've been anointed 9 different times, serious. Am I'm still not as good as she is in speaking. This woman needs no anointing by God because she has enough, Jehovah says. She's also designated as a chef and baker; two different designations. She's supposed to make money doing this things she's been ordered to do,

Great cake! I made a half recipe (6 cup Bundt pan) and was rewarded with great taste and texture. My baked potato was enough for my cake with a little left over for snacking, this potato was sweet and a deep orange color. Next time, and there will be plenty of next times; I bake this recipe I will use freshly ground nutmeg instead store bought ground! Nice flavor in the glaze, couldn't taste the alcohol, just the essence of the rum. Thanks for posting such great recipes, thank you!

I made a gluten free version of this cake and it is amazing! Other than substituting the cake flour out for Pamela’s gluten free all purpose flour, I followed the recipe for the cake but I made a homemade cream cheese icing. I made the cake on Thanksgiving and it’s now Sunday and the cake is still moist, which is an amazing thing for any GF baked good. Thanks for sharing!

I made this today and it was my first time making a poundcake....it was PERFECT!!! It was so moist and the crust brought a tear to my eye! I didn't have any rum so I made a vanilla glaze instead. And, I was a little worried because I forgot the recipe called for cake flour and I didn't have any. So I ended up making my own cake flour and crossing my fingers. Lol. I'm getting up in the morning to make another one! Had to use my household as a guinea pig before serving to others. Lol. You're the best, Auntie C!
