Hanboks are so beautiful! I really like learning about national costumes, they are so pretty and a good introduction to a country's culture. In Norway we wear bunads as a national costume, and most people choose a bunad from the place they come from.

During the early part of the Joseon Dynasty, the kings and queens of Korea wore an exact replica of the Han Chinese Hanfu (漢服) as well. Unfortunately, Hanfu (漢服) died out during the 17th century AD, during the Manchu rule of China, Han Chinese were forced to wear Pao (袍), the Manchu clothing, during the Manchu Qing Dynasty (清朝). But Korea and Japan have preserved the Hanbok and Kimono fairly well.

i think you've got the wrong. Chiinese also have hanbok, but that is diffrent from Korean. In Hannara, one of the dinasty of China, they wore something called hanbok. The first syllable of Hannara is that of hanbok. Chinese hanbok and Korean hanbok have same word in English, but the meaning of those are diffrent. I think you would know what Chinese general traditional clothing is. Plus, Chinese hanbok is called Hanfu in English, not hanbok.

Hanbok had influenced by the Mongols in later Goryeo Dynasty era. You need to know that Korean Traditional clothes before the Joseon Dynasty were more close to the Hanfu, especially Chinese South-Song Dynasty Style. But Mongols dominated whole of Chinese continent and made the Goryeo Dynasty their Son-in-law nation. The cultural style of Han Chinese was destroyed by Mongols and Mongols influenced to the Koreans in later Goryeo Dynasty era, We call this Yuan intervention Period. And It was not only in the clothes but also Korean Languages and Traditional Korean Armor. The Korean armor before the Mongols invade, It was close to the chain mail, but after the Yuan intervention period, Korean armor changed to looks like northern nomadic style armor.

HamZang i didn't deny that hanbok was influenced by china.

Korean Hanbok (한복 / 韓服) and Japanese Kimono (着物) were heavily influenced by the Chinese Hanfu (漢服), especially during the earlier periods. Take a look at the Shilla Dynasty Hanbok for example, you will be surprised to find it looks much more Chinese. The post-Goryeo Hanbok on the other hand added many Mongol influences such as the Otgoreum (옷고름), as well as the raising of the Jeogori (저고리).

About Chinese traditional clothing and Korean traditional clothing. It is easy. > Multi-color, there are dragons and stern and Chinese patterns are Chinese Han national costumes. > Pure white no pattern and exposed nipples are Korean traditional costumes. In addition, ancient Koreans have used their heads to carry things. The Chinese did not.

In fact, I had never even heard the word Hanfu 20 years ago. Before Ming Dynasty, Mongols ruled China. Mongolians liked Goryeo(old Korea) sheep. Goryeo hanbok, which was popular in the Yuan Dynasty, is being insisted on as Ming Dynasty Hanfu these days. I heard that hanfu is the traditional costume of the Han people? But why do they wear hanbok, which was popular among Mongolian royalty and nobles? I am disgusted with the CCP's greedy policy of integrating ethnic minorities. I hope CCP netizens stop distorting Korea's history and culture. Goguryeo kingdom, Taekwondo, Kimchi, Hanbok, Hangeul, Seollal are Korean!

For those who said Chinese just being jealous about hanbok, you can check about the dragon robe.I don't know whether hanbok is from Korea or China. But I do know Korea King was wearing The Ming fu,and some call it Guanbok .Which is given by Ming Emperor.No offence,just telling the truth. You can see in the video King was wearing a red colors Guanbok and with 4 claws dragon.Ming Emperor was wearing the same thing as the Korean,but in gold colors and 5claws dragon. But for the normal dress for Korean man and women does created by Korean.Only the guanbok is same to the Ming Hanfu. Just because nowadays Chinese forget about their traditional clothes doesn't mean Korean can said Ming fu is created by Korean themselves, since that day the Ming Emperor gave the Guanbok to Korean , Chinese and Korean already share the same part of culture. We never want to steal anything from Korean, you can said it is your traditional clothes,since we have given to you. But you can't forget the origin and tried to deny the history.

HelloMyNamelsBanana STOP SWEARING well, did you realize the mogolian who owned the yuan dynasty, is also modern china's ancestor? inner mogol is a part of china?and hanfu did not occur in yuan dynasty, it starts from early zhou dynasty.the modern hanbok is heavy influenced by ming dynasty hanfu because korea was a tributory country of ming dyansty china. right, of course, everything belongs to korea.

Vivian Zhu And NO ONE, literally NOT EVEN ONE PERSON that is Korean thinks "everything belongs to Korea", I don't know what Chinese propaganda China is feeding you, but no Korean ever thinks that, but Korea is definitely unique on it's own to say that eventhough Korea implemented and borrowed inventions and things that worked also for Koreas, not only did they change them to fit Koreans more, but Korea also has COMPLETELY unique aspects indigenous and seperate of any influence from China, such as in language (not including borrowed Sino-Korean Chinese characters), food, many ancient technologies and inventions in architecture such as ondol (heated floors), hanok, the shape of houses depending on regional temperatures, and also, Since the beginning of Korean history (Gojoseon through the three kingdom's period, Goryo, and the Joseon dynasty) all the kingdoms shared common language and culture and kingdoms ruled in the same monarch lines for 500-1000s of years at a time, which cannot be said for China. Modern day China isn't even made up of just Han-Chinese history since China's monarchies never lasted that long, it has Manchurian, Mongolian, Tibetan, and many other ethnic groups and countries that are completely seperate from Chinese history that has it's own history.
@HelloMyNamelsBanana
@HelloMyNamelsBanana 8 жыл бұрын
Vivian Zhu And the hanbok is so different to hanfu now and has SO MANY different varieties by region, time in history, and even styles that it cannot be even be confused with a hanfu. It is completely different from a hanfu, especially in terms of hanfu being loose and having almost no linear lines whereas the hanbok's philosphy is about the balance in the lines and curves which the hanfu DOESNOT have. Even the principle of the BASIS of the traditional clothing is completely different.
