I have a Mark V 35 combo, very similar to this one. That is my dream amp. For a guy without an unlimited budget I think it is worth saving for what you want. Patience gets the prize.

No doubt this is my favorite amplifier. I actually just picked one of these up shortly ago got it used for a short money and I couldn’t be happier with it. I was actually using the Fillmore and this is definitely my gigging app now no doubt everything I wanted is here I like all of the options that are there every sound that came out of that amplifier and has come out of mine too. They’re just excellent amps no doubt, thanks again. Great demo as always appreciate it. 3:20

Folks, would this be comparable to the Mark V 35 in a gigging situation? Sweetwater has the 35 on back order but the 25 is in stock. The solo boost is what I really like on the 35. But I like the fact that 25 watt is so much more portable.
@sweetwater4 жыл бұрын
Hi, Eric. The two amps are definitely similar, but the 35 does offer you a bit more power so you'll have a bit tighter low end and more clean headroom. Also, the physical cabinet size is bigger which will also give the amp a bigger sound. All that said, the 25 is a great amp, and if portability is a main concern, it could be a great solution for you. Thanks for your interest! Sweetwater Charles, thank you sir. I ordered the 25 watt head and 1x12 Fillmore cab from your associate John Castro. Portability is a big selling point for me as I am 50 and have arthritis. It will be nice to have a lightweight option that sounds huge. And I love you all at Sweetwater. Customer service is so great.

Awesome demo. Is the amp quiet enough to enoy at low volume with the mark IV and extreme mode without altering the tone and maintaining the gain up? Thanks in advanced, I know it can get loud too.
@sweetwater9 жыл бұрын
Hi Aristowi! In our experience, this amp sounds great at any volume. If you're concerned about maintaining gain at low volumes, many manufacturers make power attenuators. But again, this amp sounded great during all of the paces we put it through! Let us know if you have any further questions! Thanks!

is the ( back open/closed switch) a solid state effect? Is this amp a hybrid? I love this amp and enjoy your videos. keep up the good work.
@schwa69708 жыл бұрын
This amp is all tube no solid state tech here.The cab clone is merely a load that simulates a speaker load so you can use it silently in headphones or in to a recording console or PA . To do this without a load you will blow up a tube amp. This amp kicks serious ass. I sold a classic Fender to own it and dont regret it at all. After 20 yrs of being a Fender guy I have been transformed to Boogie all the way. Does anything my Princeton would do but with the added benefit of as much gain as any sane person could ever need.

Take the blanket off… Can't hear hardly any sparkle or brightness on this demo, even when the PRS was supposedly in single coil mode.
@AdamRainStopper9 жыл бұрын
If you pause it where they actually showed a close-up of the 57 on the cabinet, you can see that it's a bit too close to the outer edge of the cone. It really should be just barely off the dust-cap to get a good representation of what it sounds like to be sitting in front of the cab.
@alexwright14649 жыл бұрын
Adam Rainstopper Also, they have the treble and high mids quite low on the EQ for the majority of the video.

I was thinking about swinging for the 35 watt version for when playing with band but does that one also sound good at bedroom volumes??
@zarplin8 жыл бұрын
Having owned both, I think the 25 sounds noticeably better than the 35 at bedroom levels, but the 25 doesn't have the "kick in the chest" punch that the 35 has. Both are still great amps and gig-able, but if you do mostly or all bedroom playing, I'd probably go for the 25. I do really appreciate how powerful the sound and feeling of the 35 are though.
@marcelohenriquepandion28687 жыл бұрын
Larry Tate both will sound good in bedrooms, because both can be reduced to 10 watts

Owl Daly I agree. These amps have to be adjusted and adjusted well. Add a PRS to a poor setup and you get MUD.
