That is one lovely soap! Here is a tip to make cutting a little easier that I found works for me. Spray some alcohol on the blade. It makes the blade glide right through and the alcohol will evaporate anyway. Can't wait to see more M&P videos as those are my favorite soaps to make.

You can use vanilla color stabilizer when you use vanilla content fragrance. It works well in MP and CP soaps.

Dip your blade into a bowl of pre-boiled water and wipe the blade with a towel between each cutting. :) The warmth of the blade will cut through like butter without causing distortion

Just to let you know I love your channel I have made milk melt and pour hundreds of times when using clear if you put fragrance in after 2 to 3 weeks the clear turns very Dawlish so a tip is put most of your fragrance in shea butter or goat's milk melt and pour and don't put it in your clear I do know this helps I have done quite a few cold processed but I don't have the experience to make it as good as you but I appreciate all the help I get from watching your channel thank you

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE HOW YOUR SOAP TURNED OUT, IT'S BEAUTIFUL !!! Ok . I'm going to try to explain to you why you get the sides of the soap looking like they do. Each time you pour soap into the mold you are supposed to clean the soap off the walls of the mold so it can come out with clean edges. When you do that make sure that the soap is sort of solidified so when you are wiping the sides of the mold, the soap will not move around. Maybe that will help you.

I haven't watched in a while because of..well, life..had some pretty traumatic events happen that hit me hard. but I'm baaaack! have you ever thought of warming the cutter a bit before each slice? just a thought ..not sure if it will mess up the soap and that's why no one does it. but I imagine it's similar to slicing butter out of the fridge with a warm knife.

I know this is an older video, and you might already know the answer. I work with M&P exclusively. And yes 'vanillin' with turn the soap a light beige and the colors will look 'slighty' yellowish brown. Yuck! So, I don't use fragrances with vanillin in them when making clear soap. I'll use it for a soap with a Shea Butter base to make a creamy look. I love your swirls. You are so talented and cute girl..! I'm a new sub also!

I do keep vanilla stabilizer on hand. I have 2 brands. So far it works quite nice, but I do like scents that are vanilla free.🙃 vanilla scents to change my soap color guaranteed. I think it would be fun to add little rubber toys in MP soap for kids 3 and older. Or even animal embeds inside clear MP. I haven't gotten around to buying mp blocks yet. I need to.

Are the companies you get your micas and bases from natural and or organic products/bases
@RoyalAppleBerry
@RoyalAppleBerry 4 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks so much for watching, I appreciate it. Some of the micas I use are and most are not natural because they contain FD&C colorant. The melt and pour has synthetic ingredients in it as well as natural, so the answer ther is no as well. However, my cold process soaps are made with natural and organic oils and butters .

Love the soap! Bad news: MP does morph to brown as much as CP does; it might take a few days though, before it begins to show. Also depends on amount of fragrance used; I use 3% - the average standard amount.(I really hate It when you have to press your nose almost into the soap to get an impression of the fragrance. About the soap cutter:problem 1: it has those reinforcement strips on the edges, thumbs downproblem 2: you still don't cut at the right angle - see point 3 -problem 3: the blade is too thick, so you can't use the grooves in the mitre box.Solution: buy a dough cutter/scraper like this one: www.bakedeco.com/a/matfer-stainless-ste-27041.htm There must be cheaper places to get them.. hope this helps dear Kenny xxx

What temperature do you add your layers at please?
@RoyalAppleBerry
@RoyalAppleBerry 5 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I've never check temps for melt and pour, other than for fragrance. For pouring, you just wait until the layer you just poured forms a thin film over it, then pour your next layer, just be sure it's not too hot because it will seep into the first one. Hope that makes sense and helps out.
@PowderyloveASMR
@PowderyloveASMR 4 жыл бұрын
I do the same method but its usually 130 or less in between layers...however you may have to deviate depending on how fast your soap is setting up...it all depends on what you add ex..fragrance and colorant which can speed or slow up the process... In the beginning I used temps but now I eyeball

Hi there! I was wondering what the difference between using mica and soap dye is? Thanks, love your videos
@RoyalAppleBerry
@RoyalAppleBerry 6 жыл бұрын
Hello! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! I really appreciate it! Mica is natural before it is ground down into a fine dust then colored. It also very easily dispersed in soaps. Dyes are man-made colorants that are consistent with it's coloring no matter what it's used in, but it does have a tendency of clumping if not mixed properly. I hope this helps dear!
