Tarek Ali I feel like that living in Russia. Lived here for 2 years and never met anyone who speaks English. And I have to talk to my wife and her family and work all the time in Russian... Its so hard ffs every goddamn sentence is like an impossible puzzle that I have to keep trying to figure out what the hell they just said. Makes my brain hurt all day every day. I miss being able to speak and understand everything effortlessly in english :( russian words and accent and pronunciation and word order and grammar is so totally different from English so it's super hard... I can understand Spanish (it's piss easy) and also Chinese can be difficult sometimes but russian is the most difficult by far

irise aboveitall jealousy is an evil emotion. Don't be jealous. Find you own path. Happy people learn. Knowing multiple languages is not primary to sustain a good quality of life. It's a hobby. Like doing hairstyles and makeup. You can make money doing both or just do either for fun. If you speak twenty languages and the doctor says you have a terminal illness and you will die in two months. How important would languages be ?? So don't be jealous. Just be yourself honestly. And cling to what you really enjoy. And you may find that it's not knowing multiple languages.

I also picked up a lot of Haitian Kreyòl, learned Spanish and am attempting to learn French and maybe sometime German. Papiamento sounds a lot Like Cape Verdean Criolu, the word Papia means to talk and the word Papiamento in Criolu would mean roughly an “act of or way to speak(ing)” .
