Luigi has already had kind of had a Poltergust in the Mario Kart series. The Poltergust 4000 was introduced as a vehicle in Mario Kart DS (which explains how we went from the 3000 in the original to the 5000 in the second), and it returned in Mario Kart Tour. I would love to see it be added in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Gold Wario would also work as a reference to Wario World and his many gold Wario statues you assemble to increase your health bar And would be cool that instead of red Wario, we could have one of his many other outfits from WarioWare, which he does have quite a decent lot and can easily fit the remaining slots as well, but for just a palette swap, his white alt from Brawl sounds perfect, makes him look sailor-like and is also a reference to his sprites from Wario Land 2 and 3

We all need to start a petition for Nintendo to add all of these alternate costumes to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe since they are already bringing back some courses from tour, and the classic Mario Kart games, also brining back some great characters. It makes sense to make one and get Nintendo's attention to do this idea. This may be a stretch, but if I'm being honest, I think there might be some potential. - For the babies, I honestly think they should just be in one selection port with maybe some new ones and returning classics (Baby DK anyone?) - The Koopalings will get the same treatment since they're the same kind of character except with more personalities and branding. - Villager will also have an alt with the female and male both combined into one slot. Same with the inklings, and to fill the gap on each, one character from both respective games will fill in the slot. If you think about it, excluding what you've mentioned in the video, that leaves 14 available slots in the roster. Of course this might not happen, but it would be cool to think about.

These ideas are great. I really hope Nintendo does this. What about the babies getting similar costumes of their older variants (like Fire Baby Rosalina). Lakitu having the shell swaps makes a lot of sense as well. Bowser could get his fusion with Cacletta from Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga. Dry Bones cosplaying as a normal koopa would be hilarious for me as a costume for that. For the Inklings and Villagers, it would be "mega cool" if they worked like the Miis and if MK8DX could read your Splatoon 2/3 or Animal Crossing New Horizons data and add your Inkling or Villager into the game. (Extra) Assuming R.O.B makes the grand return of a lifetime, the Japanese alt seen in smash would work as a costume, but also costumes could reference other Nintendo consoles (which is what they should've done in smash). For example a dark purple for the GameCube or a red and blue for the switch. Purple arms with a light grey body for the SNES controller. White and blue for the Wii U. It would be creative. (I hope R.O.B is the last character)

Personally I think this is likely. Not every character but the big ones, Mario Luigi peach daisy Yoshi toad Rosalina bowser bowser jr wario and waluigi. Each wave has had something new to the game. Wave 1 brought different lap routes, 2 added brand new tracks, 3 added the half pipes back and the custom items feature, 4 and 5 added new characters. I’m thinking either new karts or skins

For the splatoon ones, I would have given one last alt, being simple: If you have a save of Splatoon 2 or 3 or both on your switch account, you can port your character from there, choose the color you'll go with and that's it, your own splatoon guy on a kart

I like how this concept goes but I still think they're are a few suggestions missing. #1: I don't think Peachette being a costume for Peach won't work that way as Peachette needs to be created by using the Super Crown and only Toadette can use it so I just feel like Peachette and Toadette should just share a Slot. #2: The Toads look good though but I still think something is missing. Do you notice that the Yoshis and Shy Guys have colored Variants? Then why don't the Toads have one? #3: Koopa should get the Paratroopa Variant from Double Dash. #4: Dry Bones should have 3 Variants from Mario Superstar Baseball.
