Good relay, looks like the winning team could have been dq'd when the anchor leg cut in without a proper lead. Although the rules are so gray that it's barely ever enforced. This is why you teach your runners to run defensively. When the passing runner made a move toward the front and moved in, she should have run into a carefully placed forearm of the athlete she was passing. Not enough to interfere, but as a warning that she was impeding her competitor's progress.

@@MJ-dq6ph According to the commentary, she was in 4th at the handover. She got 3rd because one of the runners ahead of her was tripped up. She made up some distance, but only gained 1 place (and it wasn't even due to her). Hardly something amazing

@@stephenwilliams7200 I would say that your stance is flawed because our females have been in the top three for every 4*4 relay in major championships since the beginning of time. Did you watch the recent world indoors championships? Did you watch the 2015 world championships, outdoors? Did you watch the 2018 world cup? Did you watch the Olympics last year or any year at all in the last 12 years? I guess not because not only did they get medals, they won several of those.

Football actually get more money than track … for the most part it’s the past students of those prominent high school who sustained and maintained those programs not the government. The scientists said those yams had something similar to steroids in them. Superior soil is ONE consideration. AND. History says when the slave ships arrived, MOST of the slaves were dead. This is Sydney Mclaughlin from Union Catholic (high school) when she was a high school junior, before she made the 2016 US Olympic team six years ago. One year later she ran at Penn in the same race and received the baton in sixth place 40 meters behind and finished an close 2nd six meters behind the leader. Her 2017 400 meter split was the quickest girls 400 meter leg ever run at the Penn Relays.
