The best analysis so far. I am an ex Military officer and would like to state that Gen Faiz went beyond what his superiors in the Army wanted him to do. Land grabbing, extortion, and corruption are now ingrained in the Army. DG ISI can't do an iota of a thing without the blessings of Chief of Army Staff. Hence Faiz is not alone in the entire saga. What I believe is that the FG Court Martial will not work. Any punishment in FGCM can be challenged in Supreme Court. At that stage Army will have to compromise General Bajwa also, which they will not. You rightly said that it is only a move for the survival of the institution. And I think it is too.late.

I always had my doubts that muzammil is backed by ISI. Today, he has proven it. Faiz Hamid followed through orders of GHQ for six years. How is it possible to work against the wish and support of GHQ in Pakistan. Bahadur fauj has now advertised his arrest to fool the public once again. I usually like Muzammil's analysis because he always talks with credible references. However, today, his references were Tribune, Dawn and complaints filed from adversary in supereme court ( nothing proved ), and he presented everything as if they are proven facts.
