5:00 The big problem with that (people using male pronouns for Vegapunk) is that in Japanese, they don't use gendered pronouns... but it sounds weird as Hell if you try translating things without using ANY genders ever whatsoever lol. So you usually always go based off of context when translating it to English. Sidenote, that's also one of the big issues with the whole Yamato controversy, because they don't use male pronouns in the 3rd person when referring to them either (I mean, they don't use them for anybody lol). There does exist a singular gendered pronoun for each sex, but that's often only ever used in medical contexts. In fact, when you listen to the actual dub, you can clearly hear them say usually either "aitsu" or "koitsu" when referring to anybody in the 3rd person. They use it ALL the time. And that is not tied to any specific gender...

Lol a lot of people don’t like it but i thought it was a good moment. He took the beating and kept getting up even though he knew he would get cooked. And his reasoning was because he wanted to protect the innocent civilians out in the world who fear pirates. He stood 0 chance and he said it himself but his pride and morals kept him up. Even Luffy was shocked that the guy kept fighting. Up til this point Hannayabal was a complete coward and loser, but this is one instance where he stood his ground. A lot of people only focus on Luffy trying to save Ace and saw the prison break as a good thing, but Hannayabal showed the inverse of that. It was a great showcase of how Justice isn’t just black and white. I respect his scene alot tbh. And of course I liked the companionship of him and Magellan too lol. Magellan gave the is dude his flowers and hyped him up as the next warden.
