@.33 secs in, that's an interesting view of the frame of the tank. it looses is solidity as this tough tank, its just thick pieces of metal bolted to a frame. I remember from many years ago, the T34 was famous for its sloping armour. a 40mm thick section of steel on the slope becomes 80mm thick, effectively. Great work as usual Joe and the gang.

As a former professional weldor I was a wee appalled seeing arc welding preformed with no protective gauntlets and trousers to at least a protective apron. This is a recipe for skin cancer people. Of course Stick is not nearly as UV intensive a TIG, but both are not healthy. Yes, that is a correct spelling for a person who welds. Weldor or Welder.

Thanks for the video. Those turret bolts being loose is probably a bit of a pressure relief valve. Having worked on Belarus tractors since about 1994 that would be their logic. if the tank got hit the blast pressure bled off just lifting the turret instead of blowing it clean over a hedge. Thus aiding for a quick repair just welding a plate over the entry hole pressure wash it out and send it back to work. That wiring looks exactly like the same junk they had on tractors up until the late 90's , and I'm pretty sure I've seen those lights on some tractors in the past to L.O.L Take care.
@BlackEpyon Жыл бұрын
Yeah, that would be a typical Soviet mentality. Hardware is worth more than the soldiers. Western philosophy is the opposite, and we can see that with how many wrecked western vehicles in Ukraine have their crews climb unharmed out of them. They do their job.

I was looking this up out of curiosity and though i cant find anything specific to combat records, i did find out what model specifically it is and that may clue you into what campaigns it may have been involved in. Everything im seeing is pointing to this being a polish made T-34/85 M-2 (based on the snorkel on the Port side of the tank, which is what made me curious to start with). This model was based off of the 1969 model variant of the T-34/85. My best guess would be to say that this tank may not have seen combat or saw very minimal.
