great video! kinda off topic, but any tips to maintaining the pillow ball bearing. Do these types of bearings need to be lubricated or greased? I run airlift struts and recently had to replace my right passenger pillow ball bearing because it started to squeak like crazy when I turned. Any recommendations? Thanks :)

Pillowballs are generally designed to be maintenance-free. Unfortunately, Airlift is notorious for using poor quality bushings and they often fail and become noisy. With that being said, you could probably use any general bushing spray lubricant or grease to help increase longevity, or upgrade the pillowball altogether. Broadway preaches the pillowballs they use as being the best and forever noise-free. These new pillowballs that came with the T-Demand top hats are IDENTICAL in design to the ones that Broadway uses. I wouldn't be surprised if they source them from the exact same place.

Nice video man I love your channel, I just got T-Demand onikyan tophats for my Y33 that i’m doing a Schassis suspension swap on and I noticed the piston shaft on the Schassis coilover is too small for the radius bearing and the pillowball bushing on the TDM tophats, would you have any recommendations on what to do? Thanks

There are generally 2 different piston shaft diameters used on struts. I believe it is 14mm and 16mm shafts. It sounds like a you have the 14, so they actually sell different centering nuts and fittings to get it to sit centered in the pillowball. As for the radial bearing, you will most likely have to swap it out unless they sell another centering fitting for that one (I’ve never personally swapped a radial center but I have swapped a pillowball center)

hi do u think its possible to achieve -10 degrees of camber with bc droplows v2, the "extreme low" version, and a pair of slr extended camber plates? on a bmw e46 facelift btw
@Asz_2 жыл бұрын
just want to clerify that i already got the coils installed and i have them lowered to where i have like 2cm left of threads, and i got like 5/6 degrees of camber around the car now. so basically what im asking is do u think that a pair of tophats/camber plates will give me atleast 5 degrees more?

@@Asz_ I don't have personal experience with that vehicle specifically, but it is quite possible. I believe there is also a method that E46 owners use where they mount the SLR plate backwards in order to achieve more negative camber. That's about all I can assume tho.

Hey man any idea if these fit bc coilovers? And do I need to purchase the upper spring perch from t demand?
@Alexhaav7 ай бұрын
They will fit. You do not need a new spring perch.
