There was in fact a sequel to the original movie, Heavy Metal 2000. Though it has nothing to do with what happens in the OG film. The sequel focuses on the character F.A.K.K 2 aka Julie based on the late Julie Strain. It's a guilty pleasure kind of film. Though a Taarna series could work as part of a Heavy Metal series akin to Love, Death & Robots. As in her adventures would be episodic with each episode or every now & then episode. And in the spirit of the OG film, have it be nearly without dialogue, Samurai Jack style.

If they mess her up in any remake they do I am going to riot. You can't improve her so don't try. Don't make her fat, don't make her woke to make her quipy, let her speak with gestures and intimadation.. Just make her flipping Tarrna. She would be the most original character you ever make if you make her JUST AS SHE IS. Make it a prefectly silent performance or damn near it.. The girl talks with her eyes, her gestures, her body language. Think of how Mr Bean worked and do that but a lot more serious (it worked in the series and sequel movie anyways) you can make it work here.. You made it work there (in the series and sequel movie anyways) you can make it work here.

@@jeromewhite2360 Sadly KZbin gets more and more obnoxious with the 'demonetization,' or whatever, and since these channels rely on making a few dollars for the effort they put in, they tend to be cautious. It's sad to see how even mild violence gets blurred out on some channels nowadays. So we're lucky to even get a glimpse of scantily clad Taarna here. One of my favorite scenes in the movie is when the army of bad guys smashes the gate to the church where all.the holy men are summoning Taarna, and they break in with those crazy bolt throwing guns and pincushion the young boy at the gate, and Black Sabbath's 'Mob Rules' starts playing. I would've loved to see that clip here, as an example of how evil the Bad Guy was, but alas, even though this channel skirts KZbin's policies more than most channels (but they seem to go for quantity, putting a new video out daily), the days of seeing 'naughty stuff' on KZbin are over. Heavy Metal remains in my top 10 favorite movies of all time to this day, probably in the top 3. I used to drop acid back in my teenage years and introduce it to every person who ever came to party at my crib. Great memories. The movie literally changed my life, for real, since I saw it for the first time when I was like 13, and was looking for that 'something' I could latch on to. And so it was - Heavy Metal music, partying (although I never sniffed plutonium nyborg), and crazy women. I kinda regret the last one... 😂🤣😂🤣
