Shinichi and Satoshi, I made a miso broth for my husband on Thurs 26th Sept 2019. It was a pre-birthday celebration, and my miso soup had lots of goodies! ❤💮😘 I put in Kyoto shiitake mushrooms + Wagyu beef + Tofu + julienned cabbage and carrots + wakame seaweed + tofu puffs. I also added soba sauce to the miso soup, 1 tbsp of whisky, a dash of dashi powder + sesame oil + meshed ginger and garlic, salt and pepper + coriander leaves. 😊 And my hubby and sis finished the soup. 😂

This is great! I've had the cabbage pickles, but I've never tried to make them at home before. I did not realize they were ready so quickly! Yes, please do a video about different variations on miso soup. You could even do seasonal ideas for miso soup...maybe there are good ideas for autumn, winter, spring, and summer? Sending good wishes to both of you!

My family is originally from Burma and we mix salads by hand. And mixing by hand is what all the best cooks do... because: 1. The food and flavors are more evenly distributed 2. you’re less likely to over bruise the ingredients because your hands are more sensitive to the texture of the ingredients than a spoon or other utensil. 3. the warmth by your hands help the flavors blend, kind of like marinating does. 4. Sooo much better for the earth! No single use plastics that don’t biodegrade. 5. It’s fun to play with your food! 😊

This is the second time i visit this program. I like the easy healthy cooking of Japan. I prefer when Tabi cooks alone. The other partner is disruptive and talks too much. Tabi is easy, direct, concise and prompt with his cooking. Please, let him cook alone! Thanks for the shop in Amazon, great find, as i buy all from Amazon. Perhaps Tabi can help Amazon Fresh or their online Whole Foods to source more vegetables used in Japanese cooking. Thanks and much success in 2021 !,

The cabbage salad is so clever. I was wondering how you could make it with only two ingredients. I love it!
@thebiblioholic5 жыл бұрын
Even easier way to make the miso soup is to use dashi miso paste. I boil water in a kettle, put a generous tablespoon of the miso paste in a little strainer and use the spoon to push it through and dissolve into the hot water in a bowl. Add a pinch of dried wakame directly into it (no need to pre-hydrate separately), and scallions.

I almost always have cabbage in my fridge as well. I usually make asazuke with some salt (or the asazuke powder with yuzu) but never thought about using shio kombu instead. I think it would be great to add a chopped ume as well, just like the cucumbers suggestion on the shio kombu package. Which kind of miso did you use? Shiro miso? My favourite miso filling is tofu and abura age and indeed some green onions. And asari miso soup I love as well. yes make a video of different miso soups. great set menu you have created. I'm going to make the chicken ramen katsu this week :)
