Great series guys, would love to see the same on cage/window feeders with bream, different setups work, how the hook length acts. Or even with wild tench and how they act

Awesome learning opportunity, that speeds up a potential 10 years of honing your confidence, self belief and knowledge development into a matter of minutes! I once watched a chap running a float down the River Swale directly towards then underneath the bridge that I was stood on. Fishing half depth on a very hot and sunny opening day and what I saw absolutely baked my noodle. The chub were intercepting the 3 maggot hook bait virtually every cast and immediately freezing and opening their pectoral fins sort of perpendicular to their flanks allowing themselves to move downstream at exactly the same pace as everything else in the water, the float, flow, the freebies and obviously the hook-bait. Despite fishing a very light stick float etc the chub managed to chomp the hooked maggots not only without getting hooked themselves but astonishingly without any indication at all on the float!! Of course this resulted in me behaving, initially like Matt, totally freaking out whilst trying to convince the chap to strike! He wouldn't. He missed at least 9 out of every 10 of these crafty, genius chub....at least! I have never been so frustrated by fishing in my life! However I learned more about what's going on under the water in that excruciating hour or so than I had in years of fishing rivers. Just as I was about to get off the bridge and start fishing myself a 20lb plus pike slammed into the guys keep net and grabbed one of the captured chub and a mouth full of mesh and proceeded to attempt a massive catch of its own!! It was not for letting go and very nearly pulled the bank stick free taking the net with it!! The horrified chap had to grab his net with one hand and poke the determined Esox with his landing net till it gave up and angrily let go!! What an amazing show that was!! An experience I will never forget!

@TackleguruTV Жыл бұрын
haha we're sorry this has caused confusion. Maybe watch the videos back closely and try and come up with your own conclusions. Few key points for us - pink wafter DEFINITELY seems best hook bait on this venue (clear water)... Not vital that your hook bait is right inside your feeder, if anything the fish preferred it outside the feeder. Be very careful not to tighten your tip too much when you have cast the feeder out as this could move the feeder... Patience is a good thing! We hope these few things help.

Maybe Guru need to produce the connectors like Preston's which fit inside feeder to produce temporary bolt effect but feeder then pulls clear
@TackleguruTV Жыл бұрын
It's an interesting thought Andy, however on venues where an inline feeder must be used, in our opinion any form of fixed/bolt rig is not allowed and should not be used. That's what the Speed Beads have been designed for.
@Magpie749 ай бұрын
@TackleguruTV yes but it would give the angler options. Interesting to see how many top anglers struggle with online and blame it for most missed bites and lost fish. Many of my local fisheries are inline only so you just get on with it. Also Interesting how elasticated feeders aren't blamed when fish lost on them! Maybe top anglers aren't as adaptable as they like to think!

Well well so very interesting I will stick with my original view of mixed micro and ground bait two lines 6 /8 mil same colour pellet but work both lines to allow time for fish not to spook cast every twenty mins and loose feed ground bait micro and pellet I really don't think the bait makes any difference it is all about giving the time for fish to build confidence and get their heads down and of course if they are really feeding there's nothing better than catching with a waggler on the drop thank you for the wonderful insight k/r Mr D

I am sure it has all been said already, however, VERY interesting series. I fished at a venue for the second time on Wednesday, not a sausage, or a fish, looked just like Chocolate Milk after the recent rain though, wish I had some brighter Hook baits to try. Only second time I had been there though, First time 2 very pretty fish around 5 or 6 lb ish. You have earnt a Subscribe from me, look forward to your next underwater escapade 🙂

It's all well talking about not liking inline feeders, but there's literally nowhere round here in Yorkshire where you can use anything but inline. We have no option. I love the vids, but for the overwhelming vast majority of my feeder fishing elasticated is pointless due to that. Are any pole fishing vids planned anywhere?
@TackleguruTV Жыл бұрын
We understand this is the case on a lot of fisheries mate and there is nothing you can do if the fishery you attend dictates inline feeders only. The lads obviously prefer elasticated feeders for several reasons, but this doesn't mean that inline feeders are bad, it's just their preferences. Thanks for the comment mate. We will be doing a pole underwater in the future yes :)
@Tony-gu4sz6 ай бұрын
Shop bought elasticated feeder's have cost me money... FACT!! (Preston & Guru) I always re-elasticate shop bought feeders. But I prefer running in-line for the better stamp 8lb - 25lb Carp.

Welcome to the real world lol. Not all fisheries allow elasticated feeders and you have no choice but to use inline.
@TackleguruTV Жыл бұрын
There's no doubt inline feeder catch fish and when rules dictate, the angler is left with little option. But, it is the same for every angler at that specific venue!
