The specs for the top model Ridgeline are insane. Built into the bed are 6 weather proof speakers, a cooler with a drain plug with slots for separating beer from food, and a power outlet for a tv. This is a tailgating/camping dream truck. Not to mention the Honda Tent fits a Queen sized air mattress and comes with zippered access ports for the cooler, back window and power outlet. You can even fit a 4x8 Sheetrock flat because the beautifully engineered bed is flat. And did I mention it has a dual action lockable tailgate with free crayons and coloring books 😂

Even the ZR2 is lighter and an SV crew cab 4x4 Frontier. The next closest curb weight is the Gladiator and it's 150lbs lighter too. I think Ridgelone is the lightest of them all. The Ridgeline update looks great, but they NEED to ditch those ridiculous fender flares haha. Scale them down to 50%. Same with the black plastic rockers. @@henrybrar I cannot speak for the Tundra's econ, but my 2017 RTL-T Ridgeline got as high as 29 highway and routinely had 22mpg mixed (I measure routinely, not relying on the dash display). My 2021 I have only had a few weeks, but similar performance thus far after 700 miles. When towing a 3900lb travel trailer I still get 12-15 depending on hills. My results may be atypical with the travel trailer, as I have a bed cap which is reducing frontal wind load on the camper (a 2020 Coleman Lantern LT 17B for reference), as those towing with open beds have reported issues with wind loading. Flat trailers up to 5000lbs are no issue for it whatsoever and returns that 15mpg number with them. Don't take my word for it though, check this video from last week by Truck King, kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXO0m42Lntt1b9E in which they test performance with a 5k trailer behind the Honda. Spoiler, with the 5k behind it, it still had a faster 0-60 than full-sized trucks with the same 5k behind them, despite their larger engines/hp and towing ratings.

I don't know why people say things like I have a 5000lb trailer and the Ridgeline wasn't enough truck.... Dude... that much weight and more, then you need a full size truck. Honestly, I'm becoming a fan of the Ridgeline too. I'm a traditional truck guy. I own an old K1500 and a newer GMC Sierra. I've owned Fords and Rams too. What I like about the Ridgeline is Honda has managed to design a ton of utility into it. The payload is impressive. It has decent towing numbers. The Honda AWD system isn't as good as a traditional 4x4 system but it's good enough for the vast majority of applications. It gets decent fuel economy. I would not mind owning one as a daily driver that can do some work for me too.

Frontier beats the Tacoma in every important head to head. You name it. Yes including reliability, those C-channel frames in the Tacoma rust and rot, unlike the Frontiers fully boxed frame, which is nuke proof. -Frontier 310HP > Tacoma 278HP -Frontier Torque 281 lb-ft >Tacoma 265 lb ft -Frontier Full Boxed Frame >Tacoma C-Channel Frame -Frontier Disc Brakes > Tacoma Drum Brakes Frontier has a premium interior, ride, transmission, seating, head room, materials/fit & finish, more safety features, better crash test, spray-in bed liner, the list goes on and on…not to mention styling, especially in the Pro-4X.

Ok guys so where are the Ranger an GM Twins? In my Colorado Crew Cab 4x4, V6, came stock with 308 hp 271 lbs ft. TQ. Then I added a K&N CAI, in all black polymer, plus Borla exhaust. Now before I ran a timed 0-60 run in 7.1 sec. Then I went back with the added intake and exhaust, running without any tune and reg gas I then ran 6.7 sec! That was at a local 1/4 mile dragway in central Florida, called Sebring International Raceway. Where I just happened to be camping just down the road from, three days after installing the CAI and exhaust. So I emptied everything out of my truck an went to see. I was able to make two runs in stock production truck class. I was pleasantly surprised to improve so much with both mods. But the extra noise does get tiring after a while towing. But 0-60 in 6.7 twice, plus a best out of two 1/4 miles at 15.6/96 mph is dam good! Running with traction control off, stability control off at start, plus tow/haul mode activated. Then the next day hooked up to my Grey Wolf 24 JS and drove home.

You mean the Honda that is actually not the lightest truck here? The Tacoma ranges from 3915-4315lbs curb weight, the Honda starts at 4436lbs for the Sport and goes up from there. The Taco shown here should be around 4255lbs, so by far the lightest, but even if it had all the heaviest options, would still be over 100lbs lighter than the Honda's lightest variant. Honda is the second heaviest in this test, but the Nissan is within 100lbs of it. The Jeep is the fat boy in this test, I believe it starts at 4600lbs.

It is a full 3 or more seconds faster than full and mid-sized trucks with equal weight behind them. Yes, those others may have a higher tow ability, but they are not quick with a load.

The ridge line is a city man’s truck. Easy to park and has what you need which is get stuff from the hardware store home. The Tacoma is interesting in my opinion because at 6‘1“ I can’t even really fit comfortably in that vehicle. My old 2000 Tacoma was bigger and more comfortable then the current generation. I don’t understand why Toyota won’t lift the roof on that thing. I’ll never trust Nissan after their transmission debacle for five years ever again. If I was going to buy one it would be the Honda ridgeline. I’ve owned an accord and an odyssey with that reliable and fantastic V6 3.5 L motor and in my opinion it’s one of the best motors ever made. My 08 odyssey has 191,000 miles and everything under the hood is still original. My V6 accord which is A 2017 has 82,000 miles on it and has been flawless. Find me another V6 that has nearly 300 hp and can get 38 miles to the gallon. You can’t. Jeep gladiator hard pass for me. Anything Chrysler is a repair asking machine.
