This is a great starter. I purchased the same setup, the 6000XP, and the two batteries. I have been running the house off-grid for the past 18 days. It looks like I will have to invest in a second 6000XP so I can feed the garage and power the well. I like it as backup power, but I want to eventually be energy-independent. The only load it cannot handle is the dryer when it is set on anything other than the gentle cycle. It will not handle loads over 6K. We get a lot of sun, and the batteries last all night, discharging to around 30% before I start making coffee in the morning.

I'm very cool Go ahead to know that the batteries are lasting. That's awesome

@@MyCERanch try reducing your loads to help manage your power demand. If you get a heat pump dryer it only uses about ½ a kW (0.4-0.8kW depending on the cycle). A traditional dryer uses 3-5kW depending on the cycle but averages about 4½ kW.

Also, it you’re pulling positive from the top battery, you should pull negative from the bottle battery to keep it balanced

You do hook the com cable between battery

You should connect the positive of one batterie to the inverter and the negative of the other battery to the inverter

The high-frequency EMF that is emitted by these low cost high frequency inverters is considered more potentially dangerous than the low-frequency EMF from low frequency inverters because higher frequencies carry more energy and can potentially damage cells and DNA more readily, especially when exposure levels are high; this is why radiation like X-rays and gamma rays, which are high-frequency forms of EMF, are considered ionizing and can be harmful to living tissue.

A suitable mounting surface is NOT metal. You want concrete backer board.

Not a wise choice for an inverter. These low cost, Chinese made inverter chargers use low surge, short lived high frequency, transformerless inverter technology that can be unsafe when powering household appliances or when charging an EV because they both lack an output transformer that provides galvanic isolation between their DC boost stage and their AC output. You're far better off investing in a lmuch safer, higher performance low frequency, transformer based inverter charger.
