It's cold outside, but Graeme dons his thermal underwear and decides to venture into the great outdoors in pursuit of fish. Will they feed? is he wasting his time? Will he get hypothermia and have to go back to the car. No way. GP toughs it out as usual and his perseverance pays off with a bit of rod bending action. plus he hooks a really unusual species with incredible markings. What is it? Better watch the film to find out. It's Totally Awesome.

Hi Graeme I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. My partner has been bed bound awaiting spinal surgery for nearly 6 months when I came across your videos. My partner loved pond fishing years ago but a spinal injury has stopped him from enjoying an age old hobby. Since seeing your videos and myself booking a weekend break and buying new fishing gear for him, we managed to get away for a weekends fishing in Aberystwyth. I wonder if you would know of any other lakes around the UK that we could park our camper right next to the swim so he has easy access to fish? Thank you so much again for all your videos, you've given me my partner back. Anne-Marie

I don't I'm afraid,but check online there must be camp sites with some fishing lakes ...Type various suggestions on that basis into your search engine but add the word forums...There can often be some useful info on there.

Aaron, under the new rules you can still fish as its classed as exercise, BUT you have to fish locally only, so can't travel outside of your own area, and night fishing is also not allowed at the moment. So provided you've got somewhere in your own area to fish, you're good to go :)

You've seen me comment before Graeme, but this time i just want to say thank you. I started fishing just under 3 years ago. As a noob i had no idea what tackle i needed or what baits would work. Friends who fished for decades telling me i need this feeder rod and this type of line. buy these expensive pellets and boilies or i won't catch anything. I turned to YT and found TAFishing. You taught me it's not the tackle, it's the angler. To keep thinking and adapt my strategy to the situation. Seriously thanks for helping us, great work!!!

Stunning looking fish, Graham! Love trout, so pretty, hard fighting, and divine tasting!!! Regards watching yours and Mike's videos, in case there's nothing on TV, is there EVER anything on TV these days? Haven't bothered with the propaganda laden nonsense for around 10 years now. Missus and boys still watch the odd show, but unless I’m passing through the lounge, I never see a minute of it. Why bother, I can pick and choose EXACTLY what I want to watch here on KZbin, and you'll be pleased to know, that, VERY often, means you, good sir! Keep the videos coming, you keep me sane and pumped to get out and wet a line, especially since we moved to glorious Cornwall in November 2022!!!

I know what you mean,I can't watch some of the TV fishing , I would sooner just do my own thing and tell it how it is. Must be tough living in Cornwall...all that lovely shore fishing ,but of course summer also brings the tourists,so probably not so much fun then. Been stuck on the A30 many times on the way down West. Now I try to travel early or late,and maybe find a stopover fishing/camping spot around Somerset on the return journey to break it up.

@@TAFishing Yep, the A30 can be a slight pain!!!! I use it to get about whilst working, between Redruth and Lands End, and anywhere in-between, defo NOT looking forwards to the summer madness, that's for sure, it's going to be crazy. We used to travel down from Warwickshire every year on holiday, and always stopped for a couple of days in Burnham-on-Sea, to both break up the journey, and so we could leave Somerset at 5am to avoid the A30 tourist crush! @DonOneBryson
@DonOneBryson 3 жыл бұрын
They work on stocked fish in America as they mimic the fish pellets that the Americans feed to them while theyre in the nursery prior to release (they're usually bright yellow or orange pellets, that's why you can even catch them with corn over there). I don't think they work well with wild trout, and even our stocked trout are usually fed course pellet.

i was out today and a saw a tree that had that mistletoe covering every part of a tree and i thought i have never seen anything like that before i have spent nearly 40years out in the countryside metal detecting and fishing . twice now we have encountered this few months back you posted a vid with the red kites in the field. well i had never seen one before but the very next day went out to a different location still in my aria and seen lots of them crazy . the the mistletoe has to be down to global warming i would say

I believe mistletoe is affected by air pollution, since Covoid limiting human activity air pollution has been lower. That could be why the mistletoe is doing better, as are many other forms of life, especially insects.

How times change, the once great and renowned Avington resorting to catch and release. Rainbows don't stand upto catch and release and will look ropey, really quickly.. and whats the rationale behind sticking mud pigs in there? Won't do much for the waters clarity.. hmmm

The Carp have been in there years ,I think they occurred naturally, I can't imagine a trout fishery wanting to stock them for exactly the reasons you say...If they hit a good breeding year I reckon the trout will start taking their fry.
