Well, what people need to understand is that GDC is oriented towards sharing the ins and outs of being a developer. So it's a bunch of keynote speeches and dev meetups or discussions. It's not focused on announcing updates or anything like that. From headlines I've read, nowhere did it say anything about updates for dlc, rather about the development of the latest game.

I find it funny how everyone assumes GDC of all things will have tons of announcements. It’s like going to the YA writing fair I went to today. Publishers make announcements because they sponsored the event, and each panel starts with a minor ad for at least one book each participating author wrote. The only major announcement I saw from last year’s was the prerelease bonuses for this one wildly epic fantasy novel that never got my attention too much, and they handed out a free copy of the paperback manuscript to those in the panel. There’s hardly ever a major announcement, only inadvertent advertising in the telling of success stories and how things work.
