Agree! He can deliver from byd user perspective and tesla user perspective really well, it was two really different car experience, and he can deliver it really good in this video, good job mate for making this really good video to watch. I'm also more clear now for buying tesla model 3 than byd seal, model 3 really suits me because I really love simplicity and technology, byd in screen interface just like gas car manufacturers, they don't care about software, just live it to android auto or Apple car play, and tesla they put heart inside the software and technology itself. I think byd is suits for old people who doesn't really know the tech, because it's more similar to the gas car and tesla suits for younger people who love technology and new experience

I agree with you. Actually I like the tech and supercharger network of Model 3 (RWD) but the better rear passenger room and range of the Seal (RWD) are more compelling. Hence why I find it quite hard to decide between the 2. If the Seal offered 1-pedal driving and has a better track record of OTA improvements I think it would be a clear decision in favour of the Seal. Likewise if the Model 3 has a HUD and USS parking sensors/360 view camera system it would make me significantly more inclined to buy it.

用肉眼看Tesla Model 3可能大家都会觉得很kosong,而且什么都要用荧幕来操控很麻烦。比较BYD Seal,的确如此。 但大家忽略了它的内在价值,比如说OTA, autopilot, FSD, Supercharger network, Sentry mode, Tesla app, etc. 当然最后要看你需不需要或用不用得着这些功能。
這個BYD Seal & Tesla Model 3 的 comparison 是我看過最好的👍。 如果是我會選Seal 😊

Other than price/spec, Seal real comparison should be to VW ID7 / BMW i4 / polestar 2. Tesla is for slightly different customer target namely the younger gen drivers. Both have their positive and negative, see which suits you better. Fun fact: Seal is designed by Wolfgang Egger ex Alfa Romeo, Audi and Lamborghini. While interior designed by ex Mercedes, Michele Domenico Jauch-Paganetti

@yanziqiang Tesla don’t have 360 camera and parking systems also don’t have as more dangerous to drive on than BYD Seal. Without dashcam is something not as serious, as other brands also don’t have too.

The 360 camera only works when you are a certain distance away from the obstacles but at close distance you cant really use it as the video feed is distorted. While tesla 3D reconstruction can see/reconstruct the close object with quite high accuracy which its the use case of 360view camera in general.

@@tyng1997 yeah~ this really depends on what you need and prefer, knew about the Tesla 3D reconstruction camera for autopilot, but in many situations especially in city of daily use, 360 parking camera and front sensor is way more useful. This is just my personal opinion 😁

In short seal seems like the better option here 😅 You’re getting way more value for money…Tesla exterior looks good but with the interior they made it way too simple and I really dislike how they remove the levers and signal is done from buttons and gear changing from the screen bruh..

One thing that most reviewers miss, especially in SEA countries, is how BYD shortchange customers by providing SEA cars with only 1phase of onboard charging architecture (Europe gets 3 phase). This is what happened in Singapore, the BYD seals all only have 1 phase, meaning charging using AC is super duper slow. If your charge at 11kw, u get 3.7kw, if u use 22kw, u get 7kw, if u use 7, u get 3.7kw.........3.7kwh no joke, charge overnight also barely full......This thing alone is a deal breaker, and many owners got bluffed. Buy already complain say how come EV charging so slow one, then didnt realise actually its only their BYD is slow.

definitely byd. they mass manufacture their own batteries, so replacement batteries will definitely be cheaper than tesla. battery warranty also maybe longer.

Byd u can only change back byd battery, tesla or others car is possibly replace with aftermarket battery since they use the standardize. So if byd could earn more do u believe they will sell u cheaper in future? Especially they are your only choice?

@@99stevenng I wouldn't be so confident in Tesla cuz Tesla has always been anti right-to-repair. They could easily stop ur car from functioning properly via software if they detected third party repairs. Though this can be prevented if US/EU governments regulate Tesla properly.

BYD is safer to buy. Tesla more worries, especially when entering to the Tesla workshop
This video helps me to select the car.. I didn’t even try to test drive byd and booked Tesla due to the charging speed and personal interior preferences. 👍👍 handling vice… I’m not sure. But next car will be BMW if I want better handling.

Why I will not buy the BYD Seal right now ... *Blunt throttle response which is noticeable in all modes. *Hated the turn indicator sound and various chimes, it was a pain. *No built-in maps and navigation, which is a big miss for a car in this segment. *The software was a bit buggy. *Most of the controls are through the main screen, which is a major distraction and a safety concern. *HUD is useless in bright light and only displays current speed. I would have preferred a proper instrument cluster; this one is small and is busy with too much information on a small screen. Though I didn’t scrape anywhere, it will be a pain on slightly larger speed breakers and on bad roads.

2:10 Tesla Long range 的电池是建议充80%而已要是80%和Standard Range和BYD 的LFP 电池100% 距离是一样的,加上Tesla LR电池老化速度也比Tesla SR/BYD 来的快,比例大概是介于5-6%和2.xx%一年,要是用久了SR还比LR来的划算和安全,别被字面上的数字误解了
If i charge the ev car once a month (because using it in my small hometown)... the battery's life span will be very long lasting??

I suggest you google for more info but in short you don’t even need to worry that much about battery life span. In general battery theoretical life is about 3000cycles (0%-100%=1 cycle) so even if you charge every day the battery should last over 8 years at least. New LFP battery is said to last even longer and can be charged to 100% anytime, NMC battery only recommended to 80% to preserve battery life

@taichooyee TESLA 11KW AC charge only works on 3 Phase TNB. When using Single Phase, it's only 7KW AC like BYD. And you forgot to mention TESLA'S acoustic/double glazed glass is almost two times thicker than BYD.

For comparison, iPad Pro screen refresh rate is 120hz. While Tesla is 165hz. That’s how fluid the screen is.

Not sure. But given byd other business - byd electronics supplies some components to Huawei 50 pro which has a refresh rate of 120hz. I’m guessing Should be around there since typically they would apply their Ecosystem technology.
BYD is a winner in this segment, resulting in decrease of Tesla demand. Please compare China BYD Seal with China NIO ET5 as China NIO ET5 has a swap battery technology within 3 minutes and friendly connection between car and NIO phone.
