The tb290 are awesome machines! We have 2 at the county road department I work for full time. ones a 2015 others a 2018. The 2015 has 4000 hrs on it and we never had a break down just normal service and only put one set of tracks on it 500hrs ago. And the 2018 is proving itself the same. I like the power and smoothness of the pilot controls. And the hydraulic self tensioning of the tracks so youll never half to adjust them. Only thing we done different is had windows tinted to help the a/c because of all the glass gets hot. I like the Takeuchi so much I bought a TL8 track loader and a tb235-2 mini excavator myself for my own side business

I could really see a fixed boom benefit you with being able to reach up much higher on trees etc, than the swing boom. Do you use the swing boom much?

The hose's on the grapple look like they need some better routing, they are really exposed. I like the 3-2 grapple though looks great for dealing with brush!

I prefer to pile yard debris in a hole where it can stay wet and rot. Landscape rake pulls some dirt with it too. Dig it all back up next year and spread that black dirt around the yard. If the pile is too big, I burn it but it's easier to let it compost. Unlike you, I have no equipment with lifting attachments so I have to drag it with the rake or box blade.

i think your realising the weight alot more with the new machine due to the fixed grapple, it tends to pick up the entire log as soon as you grab it, where as with the dangle it will let one end of log just kinda drag, in some situations anyway
@bert26a

Doesn't help he's also got a thumb on, really you don't need it if you've got a rotating grapple like that. Especially one that doesn't dangle like on the KX080-3.
@showlandjr
@showlandjr 2 жыл бұрын
Not only the thumb adds weight but also the pin grabber coupler is a a lot heavier, I'm a huge fan of them but they add a bunch of weight and build height.
@joshuamcintyre9714
@joshuamcintyre9714 2 жыл бұрын
I wouldnt go without a thumb or a quick coupler, this video shows exactly why, stumps and sometimes the bucket thumb combo is needed
@showlandjr
@showlandjr 2 жыл бұрын
@@joshuamcintyre9714 I agree on wanting to have both, i was mostly just commenting on the fact that it's quite a bit heavier then his old kubota quick coupler system. I have a hydraulic pin grabber on my 4 ton Kubota and I would not want to be without it for sure. I love being able to grab buckets backwards, not to mention the build height actually adds a bit of reach.

I like how you did the fork in the spaghetti with the weedie brush. That worked good. looked a little fast or touchy but you can dial that down on the computer screen if you wanted. I wonder if there is an add-on counter weight for the 290. I know there isn't for my 370 but they do offer a bigger replacement weight for it. Hope your liking the new machine. Looks smoother than mine. Pretty work as always.

I see the 370 is in between the 260 and 290. I like the weight of it. Whats different about it than the 260 and the 290?
@johnkeelan9685
@johnkeelan9685 2 жыл бұрын
@@nlstockstill Its an in between weight class with a little more power & longer reach than the 260. Uses the same coupler as the 290 so, if you have any 290 attachments, you can run them on the 370. Dealer describes it as a highbred. One of the biggest differences is the high flow aux. 32gmp on the 370 & a total of 58 gpm combined, & it utilizes a 3 pump system. The 290 now has an option for the high flow like Sam mentioned. The 370 has been out for about 2 or so years. It could use some refinement here & there. like a larger counter weight. Shes a touch too light back there. The worst part is slewing. Its got no nads.. Gutless. Track power is lacking a bit as well. Runs a mulcher head real good though & the overall strength is pretty decent. The 290 I haven't tried yet but it & the 2150 are nice machines. There just respectively bigger. So licence class is a thing & how small of an area you can work them in is also a factor.
