I love when snow blankets the trees like that, it really looks like it’s a magical candy floss/cotton candy tree. I’m disabled and house bound so my usual accessories are pyjamas and slippers! Occasionally I’ll go out and then I’ve got a cute steampunk coat. I’m super excited about the craft kits, especially the kool-aid kit as we don’t get that at all in the uk. Love the ninja bunny, he’s like one of those mucho libre rabbits.

It's not just me stuck inside then? I'm up in Scotland and the majority of the time I'm stuck in bed, especially as it gets colder each year. December 24th we do presents with our kids. This gives them a chance to enjoy the items we get them before getting other items and having a ton of them all at one time. New Years Eve we play D&D or board games. But we have alarms set up. A couple years ago was funny. The celebration we planned on watching wasn't streaming. My then 6 yr old son had been playing Minecraft for several hours. Right after we did drinks he said "Hey, watch this!!" He had spent 4 hours planting several large cubes of TNT boxes. He clicked the top one, and BOOM!!! The explosions went on for a solid minute. It was awesome.

In my home, I started a tradition when our girls were VERY little. On Dec 24th, everyone has the choice to open ONE gift. and we have a family movie day/night, where we each pick the movie we want to watch. We watch all of them while grazing on finger foods all day. Christmas Day, the girls were always up first, so, they were allowed to get into their stockings...but nothing else until everyone was up. Then, we all open ONE gift...then we wait a couple hours before we open another. It continues like that until usually around 7 p.m. when we would open the last gifts. THAT WAY...the excitement of Christmas lasts ALL DAY!!! (not to mention, it taught our girls to be patient.)

The only real “tradition” we have for any of the eves is for Christmas Eve night. We go to both my grandparents houses and drop off/pick up presents because both live super close. Thanks for taking us along for your walk with Jackie, Splinter. It's important that she gets some fresh air, even when there's snow outside. As for 25th and 31st of December, I'll probably watch all of 0 videos that day... Here in Norway we have our Christmas celebrations mainly on the 24th. Nice dinner, open presents, walk around the Christmas tree singing songs we never sing the rest of the year... 31st there's usually preparations for a New Years Eve Party, and where I live the children dress up and go around the neighborhood to sing carols and get candy in return (Think Caroling meets Trick or Treat). Usually no scary costumes, but lots of wigs and granny's old coat and hat, coupled with fairy wings and fancy makeup - or whatever else you may come up with! My guess: lots of Elsas and Annas this year!

In Poland we actually celebrate the Christmas Eve rather than the 25th! We have a Christmas Dinner (that starts when you see the first star on the evening sky) with traditionally 12 dishes. Some of the main ones are carp, cabbage with mushrooms or dumplings although every family does things differently! And then after the dinner (and singing christmas carols) we open presents and then just talk and enjoy being with family and friends. The 25th is just a free day for us,where we invite people that are close to us but not the closest family and friends. On the 31st we Have New Year's eve and as in practically all countries I know of,we have this massive countdown for New year and stuff. With parties, champane and toasts from everyone

And I just started going through Ace of Clay's videos, thanks for the recommendation! Christmas Eve I usually have lots of time to watch videos as our shift at work is shorter and I get to spend extra time with the kids and they like your videos. Christmas eve is usually less busy for me (I avoid going near the shops when I know they'll be crazy) and I get to watch lots of vids while wrapping the last of my pressies and drinking lots of coffee or whiskey, depending on the time of day 😂. An new years eve is just a normal day for me, I know lots of people who have parties and stuff but I'm not about that life. I'll be glad to watch something either way. Oh, I got so excited (it apparently doesn't take much lol) because I have that squishy! I'm I the UK (and found the range in Asda - which is owned by Walmart), she's my first full size, proper squishy, and I love her, but be careful *how* you squish her (if you do it a lot, that is) because mine has started to split a little at the base of the sides of the ears. They had a bunch of cool designs but this one was by far my fave and it has such a nice squish to it too. I really liked that it wasn't a blind bag situation (I've been let down by false advertising on those before and ended up with tiny squishies)so I knew I was getting what I liked. Funny how you said yours smells of nothing though, mine has a scent that I associate with fake chocolate... like when you would buy scented stationery or whatever that was supposed to smell like chocolate; it's not a bad smell, but, well...yeah, definitely not real chocolate. I wonder if it was meant to smell like that now, hmm... maybe I'll have to get another now to find out 😉😂. Sadly she also seems to have faded a bit quite quickly...though she has been squished a fair bit, so...lol.
