@Indomitable The problem is that Windu and the council didn’t give Anakin the benefit of the doubt, they never gave him any trust just because he didn’t fit their mold of what a Jedi should be. Windu and the others should’ve been more open minded like Qui Gon was instead of just blindly following the rules and the corrupt senate all the time. Sometimes you need to trust your instincts, and do what your heart tells you. Plus what Windu said was utter hypocrisy, he and the Jedi were being too subservient to a corrupt senate, they were already too political to begin with. Why were the Jedi following the will of the senate instead of the will of the force like Qui Gon was? The Jedi are like robots blindly following orders. By following the senate they lost the trust of the people of the Republic.

Dooku needed the beard. It's questionable how voluntarily parents give their children up to the Jedi, but once taken by the Jedi, the children never see their families again. You may not be following the current Star Wars: Andor series, but as you noticed with Dooku, recent Star Wars writers are taking a note from The Expanse and creating characters that are multi-faceted. The people on the wrong side aren't always bad guys, and the underdogs aren't always good guys. Andor, btw, approaches The Expanse in excellent mature writing.

@@funnylilgalreacts As many have said, they should have continued to release it weekly as three-episode arcs. Another fan has suggested that it should not have been titled "Andor" but should have been titled Star Wars: Reckoning. Thinking about that, I agree that merely changing the title and nothing else would emphasize the benefit of the broad character building it's doing to show how disparate rebel factions eventually become the Rebel Alliance under Mon Mothma.

Make sure you have plenty of tissues for episode 4. In Life and Death we learned a lot about the culture of the Togrutans and how fast they teach their children, remember it was custom for Ahsoka as a 1 year old baby to go hunting with her mom, this also explains why Ahsoka was so fearless. Ahsoka spent her first 3 years with her people before Plo Koon discovered her and brought her to the Temple. Ahsoka's mom was a bad ass fighter and she definitely passed that gene down to Ahsoka. My theory is that Ahsoka is the will of the force since neither of her parents were force sensitive.

This is part of what makes Count Dooku's fall to the dark side so meaningful. The 2nd and 3rd episode show Dooku witness corruption, and how the Jedi became too wrapped up in the Senate and forgot about the people. At this point, Dooku is completely right in terms of taking care of the people vs the Senate. Mace Windu is just spouting out Jedi dogma. Mace is by the book, and almost behaving like a clone. Mace is powerful, but so strict on rules that he missed the point that Dooku was trying to convey. The Jedi are basically allowing the corruption to continue by not getting involved... and much later, Qui-gon would confirm that by stating that he had not actually come to free the slaves on Tatooine, which was the Jedi policy to support the Republic Senate. Padme seemed more concerned about Anakin being a slave than Qui-gon or Obiwan were... though she may have just been unfamiliar with how Outer Rim systems worked outside the Republic.

I like that the fact this show doesn’t tell anything new but it fills in the gaps of the characters not just Ahsoka and Dooku but other characters like Mace and Qui-Gon. Ahsoka’s baby days were cute more importantly even as a newborn Ahsoka had the same traits that she would go to have later in her life (if you saw clone wars you’ll know) and she shows that all with the tiger creature. Dooku’s story mostly intrigued me because despite what we know of him in clone wars and in the movies he was once a good man who wanted to do good things for people he saw corruption in the Senate and as Jedi who are supposed to be peacekeepers slowly became more of the Republic’s enforcers less serving the will of the force more serving of the orders of politicians. It was evident with his mission with Mace he started calling him his friend but after the mission all the death and in the end Mace got a promotion. The way he address him as ‘Master Jedi’ instead of ‘friend’ was telling he no longer trusted Mace for being part of a council that took its orders from politicians. The irony really is how Mace said they do not take orders from politicians or ego and yet the Jedi became so political that they became generals fighting a war for the Republic and became too arrogant to see who masterminded the war in the beginning. Dooku’s time with Qui-Gon was also telling the fact Dooku was going to murder the Senator in cold blood and was stopped only when Qui-Gon found a peaceful solution. And for Dooku to tell Qui-Gon how he not only saved lives but that Qui-Gon was wiser than him for using a non-violent way says a lot Dooku is known to be a proud arrogant man to say his student had more wisdom than him shows he was a good man.

@Indomitable Mace Windu's inability to think outside the box, led him to serious errors of judgement. I don’t know if it’s ever actually been outright said in the franchise but Ahsoka being Togruta has been known from the beginning since her species has been in other star wars material. Mainly the Jedi Council member Shaak Ti. If they haven’t said it in the Clone Wars, which would have been an easily forgettable word, and you don’t read into character backgrounds, you most likely wouldn’t know her species.

Personally speaking, I think the reason Mace Windu rubs me the wrong way is that he kind of embodies the arrogance of the Jedi. By the time of the prequel movies, it seems like the Jedi Order has become mired in its own self importance and self righteousness. They've become so focused on their presence in the overall galactic order, that they fail to see the small but numerous injustices that are "beneath their notice".

Mace Windu is consistently an a__hole. He is the embodiment of everything wrong with the Jedi Order. He makes Lumina Unduli look compassionate by comparison. And she's cold as ice.

"do they have any concept of the Jedi?" Yes. Think of Gantika as the village elder, and she may know OF the Jedi but not fully ABOUT the Jedi. Going back to the Native American thought line... Gantika may have only one explanation of the events... and uses the word "jedi" quite loosely.

Ahsoka’s a Jedi?

I love Filoni, but he made a great mistake in the Ahsoka ep.. They should have said that she was force sensitive instead of Jedi, 'cause not all people who are force sensitive become Jedi. Most don't even pass the trials to become a padawan, then most of them don't pass the trials to become a Jedi. But, that's me nitpicking. I really love the story the told, but I was kind of disappointed by the quality of animation. I mean, it's Disney, they could have done better.

Love the look on your face when you realized it was Padawan Qui-Gon ... Priceless! That's what I watch reactions FOR! Hate to say it but I've never liked Master Windu. Dislike him even more now.
