Glad that the First Dynasty clades and the Therapsids still fought for dominance in the Jurassic Dynasty. Of course, the Archosaurs were making their claim in this brave new world.

Kopidon is my favorite out of this group. Dilophosaur is one of my favorite dinosaurs. Thanks to Jurassic Park, and I only recently found out they were much bigger in the books and in real life. When you said, Tyrannosuchus, I had to stop a minute to think of a Croc that would earn that name. Currently experimenting with DND stats for Kaimere’s dinosaurs. Last session I threw a Zentaur at my players that had been used by some giants as a guard dog but had gotten loose and was now preying on the beasts of burden that pulled caravans. Thanks to the Druid, the group managed to take it alive and return it to its “natural” habitat. The giants are still currently wandering where their ‘dog’ got off to.

I like how some dynasties have this feeling of being the fantasy land version of equivalent times of Earth. The Tyrant Dynasty had a lot of fantasy Cretaceous vibes and this one has big Triassic vibes to it, with some synapsids still being around and crocs being so dominant. That said, seeing relics from the First Dynasty being back was really cool, specially those weird ass terrestrial fishes that aren't tetrapods and the non-synapsid dragons.

My, my ! I didn't expected the Mesozoic Dynasties series to arrived and start directly right after the last episode on the Burrowing Sloths ! As it was just said "this summer" without a particular date instead of "next week", I thought in July or August. And GODDAM ! for a start, it's a wonderfull start ! This overall description to give us the general setting of this First Mesozoic Dynasty, aka The Age of Crocodiles (basically a Triassic analog era, which ironically, none of these had real crocodiles as dominant Pseudosuchian representatives XD) was neat and keep the attention from A to Z ! I loved how you mix but typical fauna (or typical looking fauna at least) we are used too with generic looking dinosaurs and Triassic-ish Pseudosuchian, along with more odds and alien-ish fauna from the First and Permian Dynasties survivors ! (prouds to your ability to give us a Centaur here ;) ) Also like the introduction about tectonic plates and continental drift at the beginning, really a topic too overlooked in Spec Evo.

Holy shoot, centaursaurine is awesome. I'm glad you decided to make use of their weirdness to make some unique designs. Also tyranosuchus is an ambus predator, correct? Was it able to have slight dash of speed during ambush to you know be able to grab its prey and does it have any relatives beyond the equator. I have been making my own endotherimc crocodilian linage for a colder region of the world and I wanna ask is it possible for them to evolve filaments to warmth themselves?
@TalesofKaimere7 ай бұрын
Tyrannosuchus was indeed an ambush predator relying upon low foliage to set up an attack. Couldn’t run for long. It’s restricted to warm climates. A very basal pseudosuchian might be able to evolve filaments but I’m hardly an expert on that and I expect something even as derived as a protosuchian would be unlikely to develop filaments

Some more things to say: 1. Did tyrannosuchus live until the end of this dynasty to see the first allosaurs get harvested? If so, it woud've been quite a sight to see tyrannosuchus interacting with a saurophaganax reminiscent of the ending of Walking with Monsters. 2. If the Shishigou formation experienced harvest during its later years. It's possible that mamechisaurus sinocanadorum might've been harvested. Possibly making it the largest dinosaur or even land animal of this dynasty. 3. How large where the largest ichthyosaurs of this dynasty?
@TalesofKaimere6 ай бұрын

Why does magic harvest animals from Earth to populate Kaimere? Aren’t there other planets they can harvest from? Why do they even do the harvesting to begin with?
@TalesofKaimere7 ай бұрын
Great question! The reason why it took to the stars is unknown, but similar swarms on a much smaller scale travel far to bring in resources, so it is likely that this instinct drove it to send satellites up rather than out to other nearby regions. Once the portal brought plants, it could support a much larger territory which lead to its modern size and strength. As for other planets? Earth happened to be the first planet encountered with life that could also live on Kaimere. Other planets encountered first included planets with atmosphere and gravity which weren't analogous so those creatures collected died once brought to Kaimere. Earth has similar atmosphere (especially after plants have effectively terraformed the planet) and the same gravity so is the closest fit that the portal has yet found.
