9:42 flakes from Danish pastries find their way into those contacts really easily!

Great video! 👍 The contact springs in my Clef B30 Microsynth (a UK kit I built in 1985) were a problem from day one. As part of my refurb I'm adding CV input and converting it to a desktop module.

I recently found a dime between the keys of a friends Korg DW8000. I had replaced phone jacks a a couple cigarette burnt keys but they were to the right of C4 so I was puzzled by a black and white bass key sticking when I hadn’t touched the lower end or any other keys. So to my surprise upon reopening and examining the sticking two keys, low and behold I spotted a dime betwixed, I couldn’t see it from the top since it had made its way down farther in the Key bed. I thought about it and it was probably my doing when I laid a pair of shorts across the keyboard at one time.

The DW8000 is another keybed that’s notorious for intermittent contacts if it’s not played regularly

Sime of my synths seem like they lost padding or whatever gives them a nice recoil. They make a sound like a clicking while the other keys have a soft recoil. Going to watch this and hope I can figure this out. Thank you!

On my Juno 106 there is one, and only one, black key a little unresponsive, right smack in the middle. Do i need to strip down the entire keys up to that c# or can i just lift it out without touching the others? I'm a bit lazy, you see...

Do you know of a solution to fixing the rubber on top of the hammer weights on the M-Audio Keystation Pro 88? The bottom of the key connects to this, and as the grease dries out, the bottom of the key digs into the rubber and wears it down. This causes the key to get stuck and remain down. I have my KSP88 in the closet because of this but like the action on it. Side note: I saw Roddy Bottum from Faith No More using a KSP88 live around 2010 or so. I hope he didn't have these problems while playing shows!
