They're good guys I'm sure but they are giving advice outside of their expertise. Their plate breakdown at 3:28 is sure to cause sarcopenia in a lot of people. This advice is almost as bad as the food pyramid.
@DIDYOUSEETHAT1727 күн бұрын
@@bladefist2000 LMAO!! You talk about giving advice outside their expertise? You think because you toss off the word sarcopenia, which means age related muscle loss, you think you fool people that you are giving an intelligent educated opinion? Fortunately, most people are smarter than to listen to trolls. For one thing, requirement is based on a persons lean muscle mass, not total body weight. The average chicken breast is 8 OZ with 70 grams of protein, 8 oz of steak has 51 grams. Men need no more than 1.5 grams of protein per kilogram of lean muscle weight per day to offset sarcopenia, (and daily exercise) which means aa average man of a healthy lean muscle weight, needs about 30 grams of protein with each of three meals. With maybe a lean protein snack. 90 grams per day for those who can’t add. Is there a mirror handy? Which anyone of intelligence could tell you is about 4 oz of chicken (31 g protein) per meal, and slightly less for fish or beef. Now look at the plate again. Guess what? When using the healthy plate method, one-quarter of a 9-inch plate is 4 ounces of protein providing 28 to 30 grams of protein per meal depending on the source. Oh yes I am talking from experience as a certified nutritionist. I only went to University for food sciences for 4 years, so not up there with a doctor of medicine, but what the hey.

Evidence-based guidelines and professional recommendations about vaccination should prevail, period. Its a strange time we live in where we accept less. Thanks for all the immunity tips! I need to work on improving my sleep and eating more veggies :)
@NotWBT18 күн бұрын
The strange part is people not understanding the fundamentals of how vaccines work. They aid in protecting the person that gets the vaccine. You can be in a room of 100 people and be the only one with a vaccine or you can be in another room with 100 people and everyone is vaccinated. Your immunity would be the same either way. How it bothers people if others are or aren't boggles the mind as it doesnt effect them any differently. It's easy to suggest otherwise when the potential for profit in the billions are on the table. To not assume prefrences don't become skewed for these "evidence based guidelines" is nieve at best. Moderna stocks went from $19.40 usd in 2019 to $450.38 usd in 2021. Moderna made $206 mill in 2019 Moderna made $18 billion in 2021 An 8,800% increase in revenue... I could list the other companies but I think you get the idea.

This is a good reminder video. We all need a refresher course from time to time. I've always had a bionic immune system. My body attacks whatever is coming before I even know what it was. I eat a pretty well balanced diet and drink a nutrition drink (Boost) every day which has 27 vitamins and minerals and 20 grams of protein. I hydrate a lot, mostly in the morning and usually get 7-9 hrs of sleep. I started drinking the nutrition drink after my double hip replacement because my surgeon recommended it. I'm a senior and I think we need to take the initiative to get our vitamins and minerals even more so than when we were younger. I exercise every day. I do not get vaccines. I'm not an ant-vaxer. I get negative reactions from injections. I'm not afraid of needles, so it's not anxiety. I get a vagal reaction and pass out. During the pandemic, I isolated for 3 1/2 yrs and did not go into any stores, and did not have anyone come into my house, not even family. It worked well. As always, loved the humor in the video.

I haven't had a flu/cold since Dec.2010. How is that possible? I went plant-based (90/10%), initiated sleep hygiene (which I had taught to my psych patients), and became a dedicated germ phobe - carrying my pen to sign things, not touching public surfaces without a barrier (long-sleeves are great for opening doors) or immediately performing hand sanitizing, and made a concerted effort to avoid touching my face. Had already been taking D3 during the winter and a multivitamin, and have always been great at stress management. Hopefully, others will heed your advice and stay healthy this winter. As always, thank you for a wonderful video. Love you guys 😘

Thanks again for all the information you both provide. Question without notice in relation to sleep - if during the course of a 24 hour period you get 8 hours sleep but it is broken up with a long overnight sleep of say 6 hours and then some nap time during the day do you still get the same benefits of 8 hour block of sleep? I would love to be able to sleep 8 hours straight every night but never have (despite trying all techniques) so I aim to do catch up naps during the day.

So … it is pending release. Looks like it will be Jan 5. Sorry about that! Hopefully it’s worth the wait 😀
