Chelsea & Man U fans also say Talksport picks on them :D
@Metali-tin2 ай бұрын
@@interstellarbeatteller9306 And they are ridiculous for saying such. It is quite literally measurable. How long did they spend on the Chelsea allegations of years of financial irregularities under Abramovic? Have they started an agenda asking for the progress on the ongoing investigation, piling pressure on the PL? No. Was it given even nearly the same amount of attention as City's, given it's every bit as serious and could implicate multiple titles(PLs and CLs)? Not even close. Has it been treated with anywhere near the same energy(stirring up resentment as much as possible, zero balance on many of their videos for years now). It's been nowhere near the same. They've gotten off very very lightly by comparison so far. Even with the current spending they are getting off fairly lightly. City's spending was nowhere near as bad as Chelsea's in the past 2 seasons, the press literally lied about Pep spending 200m every season. Just because he was left with a massive rebuild(the back line all over 30 and unable to play out from the back) when he joined which took 2 seasons... Chelsea weren't in that position when the new ownership arrived, the lack of balance is evident here. They lied that every mistake made on transfers, 'City just go out and spend another 50m'(BS propaganda). Never giving examples of course, forgetting the many times Pep has had to change the system exactly because he doesn't just go out and spend when there are setbacks. Chelsea's spending is criticised(how could they not) but the energy is not the same, it's a running joke almost. The difference is probably because they are not the dominant team and they don't scare anyone right now... Which is telling of what the City energy was always really about. It was because of how good City are and how well they are run. One of the best net spends in the league over the past 6-7 years... proving the first 2 years were all about that first rebuild and not the norm at all. While reversing that net spend situation from where it was in 2018, that 2018 squad has already been replaced near enough and even the squad from 3 years ago looks much different this season, KDB and Bernardo likely to leave next summer. United and Chelsea should be being roasted far more than they are for how poor they've been relative to them trying to throw money at all their problems for years(all the things people accused City of). United fans are so thin skinned and unable to take what they dish out, that they complained of bias and 'people picking on their club who should be sued' after a story which literally ran for less than a week. When it has now been proven there were valid questions to be asked based on the figures in the public domain because they were given far more special exceptions than anyone else(Arsenal aren't 20x smaller so that club size excuse was just poor). All we really know is what United asked for and why(that doesn't explain it fully)... Not why the PL allowed them everything they wanted, United fans talk as if Everton and Forest didn't ask for plenty of exceptions but didn't get nearly as many approved. UEFA didn't approve any of the exceptions United asked for with them, that's how they ended up being sanctioned. Which btw was treated very softly by the press when it wouldn't be for City... sold as a 'minor breach' and forgotten about by the press within days. Yet they think the UK press are against their club. In short don't talk disingenuous toilet to gaslight City fans who've literally looked into this far more deeply than you have for years now and have the receipts from the same sources to show the glaring differences in the coverage the cartel clubs get vs City. There is an agenda, the American interests are likely part of it. When you think about it, even just taking project big picture, the ESL plans and the fall out from them. The ideas were criticised but who were the architects from the PL and did any of the coverage suggest they were anything like the 'enemies of football' like the would ANY billionaire from the middle east, if they were at the forefront instead. You know the answer, they were even allowed to run damage control in the press, it couldn't be more different when it's red cartel or their owners.

There is no time-barring for the PL rules. No doubt City will try to challenge any punishment but it'll only go as far as a second PL commission, like the Forest and Everton cases. CAS don't have jurisdiction. There is no pathway to taking it to the High Court or any other court. People overthink these things. It's very simple : to compete in the Premier League, to be a member of the Premier League, there are rules that you have to abide by, including the FFP rules. You sign up for these rules when you become a member. If you break the rules the Premier League can impose a punishment of fines, points deductions, nullifying of trophies won, and/or expulsion from the competition.
