Tangerine Dream is a German Electronic band, this song is from 1982 and predates the techno and trance movement, but they definitely have inspired the ambient techno music.

There are not ' best allbum' from TD. There are good collections that it refering to the members they come and go from this band, and years like , the phaedra years , the progresive , the melrose years for me only 5 % from TD is bad or meaby only for listening one time and im not interest for that song ! ????

I was listening to this album just this afternoon. From the transitional period just before digital synthesisers started to replace analogue. A modified version of this track was used as the theme music for a German TV cop show, called Tatort. My Tangerine Dream suggestions: Logos Live from 1982 (same as White Eagle), Poland from 1984, Underwater Sunlight from 1986, and Livemiles from 1988. To be honest, I don't like anything they did after Optical Race (also '88).
