Assuming 1400fps at the muzzle and .100 bc (a literal brick a slug would very well have closer to .150 .170) worst case scenario a 450 grain slug at 100 yards is just barely under subsonic 1020 fps. 200 yrd. It’s doing 850 fps (standard 230 grain 45aarp ball speeds but double the mass) and at 400 it’s doing a paltry 650 fps Funny enough with a 2” HOB and 25 yrd zero at 100 yrd you’re hitting 5” low and only 38” low at 200 For giggles you’d be hitting about 260” low at 400

Great vid as always! I have seen (probably) all of the videos with the full bore, screw-on type slugs but I don't recall seeing any that were shot through a rifled barrel without the screw. I am curious to see what happens if the slug is allowed to release from the wad after fully engaging the rifling. Perhaps I missed it. It seems to me if the rifling of the barrel provided adequate spin to the slug with the wad only serving to seal and push the slug down the barrel that the projectile would act more like an oversized pistol bullet... I know it's redundant and a hassle, but I miss the lead plate test.

@@taofledermaus I want to candidly throw out a few things, none of which are to offend. 20gauge, ever consider doing some stuff with them, or is it lack of those platforms perhaps? I ask because I've witnessed their accuracy over distance due to their caliber, rifling, and sabot projectiles... Moving on to 12 ga, I've seen 100yd/meter slug shots with groups under 12", and some as tight as 4", depending on the load, type of slug, etc. Now I'm certain OG can make precision long range shots, so are you just not finding anything capable of those ranges?
