Early fall ride w/video from coach. Full round trip 8th ave. to Stockyards and return. Was easy to tell school was back in session, coaches were nearly empty. No kids voices in the background of the video. Steve, the conductor remembers me in the past taping from the street. Very nice guy I don't know where he is these days. It's just not the same since it was sold to Grapevine!

Great footage of the 2248! Love seeing videos of it when it was on the FWWR. Hopefully one day soon we will see 2248 steam again.

The last time I saw #1744 was 1997 just sitting in the 8th ave. yard. She needed much more work by 2001 she was Gone. A few months ago I saw a video on youtube. I think it was Niles Canyon RR. #1744 was being rebuilt, to use there.

2248 is 80% complete and her rebuild, according to my friend James who works for the Grapevine Vintage Railroad
