I think the main reason that the guild have such a hard time during this arc (when the opponents in this arc seem really weak compared to what we just left off with Grimoire Heart [in my opinion]) is due to the 7-year time gap. It's something they address in the episodes following this arc, and while its not as though our main team regressed, its more that everyone else has just risen up to the level that the guild was at before they were frozen in time. (Which is really powerful considering they were considered the top guild on the continent.)

Totally... That is not an issue for Gildarts, since he is already at the peak of his power, being why he can take on Byro (the leader of the Legion Platoon). And Erza, even with that seven year gap, can still compensate that same gap due to her magic being so powerful. But the others... that gap really becomes a handicap.

13:25 Just a reminder but before they worked for Lucy, Aquarius, Cancer, and Capricorn worked for her mother. Capricorn was delayed, but she had Aquarius and Cancer when she left home. Based on flashbacks, it seems like she found Taurus between leaving home and meeting Natsu. Her father would have known about the spirits that worked for his wife. If Michelle had only known about Aquarius and Cancer before coming here, then her information would have been outdated. It has been a while, so I don't remember everything, but it is possible Lucy told her about them before leaving home.

I don't think Natsu was eating the flames inside the slime, more adding to it to overload the slime, and the reason for Natsu not eating it would be that it's using his own flames and Natsu is against eating his own fire, as established earlier on in the series

I will say that no, Natsu DIDN'T eat the flame slime. He just pumped so much heat into it from the inside that it exploded.

They explain it later but it’s not really a spoiler that everyone else has grown stronger in those 7 years. Now there are definitely wizards weaker than our strongest fs but even some of the weaker members of fairytail grew stronger within those 7 years. It was also great to see the earth land (main) versions of the Edolas characters. Michelle and Lucy’s relationship is so adorable.

Nah it still isn´t important to the Main story the main story is about Zeref , This arc exists only because Hiro said he wanted to do more with Lucy because he felt he didn´t do much with her, That´s only it , nothing to do with the main story

So in Earthland, Makarov is a midget while in Edolas he is fully grown while it is the opposite for Byro. I’d like to see Edolas versions of Gildarts, Laki, Ultear, Laxus, the Thunder Legion, and the former members of Oracion Seis.

This arc is still canon, btw. The author aknowledged it as canon, and as far as I know, worked on it too. It's filler (using the old definition of "filler), becouse it's not in the source material, but it's canon non the less.

Given the information we have so far, it is quite a stretch to assume these three had anything to do with the destroyed churches. Fairy Tail has nothing to do with them and it's not like the churches were that local. From a narrative perspective, it is obvious that whoever is destroying the churches will come into play or there would be no point in showing it, but unless Kinana can break the forth wall and see that, she shouldn't know about that.

We cannot expect to see huge changes in a filler arc for example the author did not write how Natsu acts in this arc he only gave the anime staff the story layouts *filler Natsu differ from canon Natsu* it´s best to not think too much how he acts in filler arcs because the author has no control in that

Jason's appearance here always bugged me. Usually, he only shows up when it makes sense in story for him to be there, which is an event which would have a presence from the Press. Here, he just shows up. It always felt weird to me

@@agarciahunter Edolas was created to bring back Lisanna + to explain the origin of Happy & Carla This arc still isn´t important to the main story , Hiro created this arc because he wanted to do more with Lucy he mentioned this arc in the manga but it didn´t do anything to the main story itself , we don´t see any of these filler characters returning to do anything important in the manga Unlike the Spirit filler arc that arc did something significant a spell used there returned in 100 Years Quest for Lucy , Mashima was also involved in that arc he tweeted about it back then

Also Kinana’s story is further detailed in this story, and hell the story also further down line shows Doranbolts character is also further developed in this arc too.
